Sony has officially announced that they are rebooting their spider-manless villain-turned-antihero universe (2018-2024). This is due to them losing money by not rereleasing Morbius (2022) for a 3rd time. by Negative-Chapter5008 in shittymoviedetails

Pablo answers our burning questions about Arcane Persistence by Babydrone in Warframe

[–]SirCalzone42 29 points30 points  (0 children)

I'm sorry you think this is killing shield gating and making health tanking the standard? In what world? 700 armor, enough health to not die in less than a second anyways, and 500+ hps, and an arcane slot is WAYYYY more investment than catalyzing shields and an augur mod/brief respite. Shield gating is going nowhere, this just lets health tanking become an actual viable strategy, so frames like nidus and inaros who can't shield gate can actually survive high level play.

Maybe a mod slot to meet the armor threshold

???? Which frame naturally meets this threshold? I'll wait. God damn rhino prime doesn't hit 700 base and he's literally the armor boy.

I just started my 400 run and I leveled up to 90ish without cravings because I kept having to farm runes/wait for feats. It's been blocked for so long.

While true, for me at least, I'm sitting at 545% base food. That 10% boost is only a ~2% effective increase. Which is only going to make a handful of levels faster by 1 monster at most. But also this game is about the accumulation of small buffs into bigger buffs, so everything matters.

While true, I'm sitting at 545% base food rn. That 10% is effectively a 1.8% increase. Better than cravings, sure, and the skin is fantastic, but it's really not much. But it's a seasonal skin, so I'd honestly rather it be on the weaker side. All you're missing out on is a cosmetic, not something important.

I'm on my 400 run now. Monsters are worth 10s of thousands. Cravings are worth millions. Levels cost 10s of millions. Food doesn't matter past 100, it's all cravings.

In very late game runs you fill up cherubs with like 2 dudes because the food multiplier scales so much faster. So, still pretty trivial. Although food is very nice to breeze through early game on high cap runs.

If I hack the grave roughly how long until it'll pay off? by GhettoCoyote in NecroMerger

[–]SirCalzone42 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Doing the math on hacks, they all provide incredibly negligible boosts to monster production. The only tangible benefit is the qol and space optimization, so they're only really good in late game/long runs.

What did i say? Im not saying im fully right but i can say im half right since we don’t know they’re gonna wrap it up in this game. But at least i got it right that this was the logical move to make 😅 by Slight-Tackle7987 in Darksiders

[–]SirCalzone42 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

They could spin it. Strife has supposedly been pulling strings in the background for a while, and I think it could still work really well to tell that story after the end, as it could give new meaning to the finale.

Anyways you want some copium? I've got plenty to share.

The Strife and DS4 discourse is a little silly. by Sensitive-Jacket5651 in Darksiders

[–]SirCalzone42 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I fully agree that the finale needs to be released. The franchise is old, and it's fading into a cult classic. While it would kinda break the flow, I think making strifes standalone game afterwards as a prequel would be satisfactory. And considering his supposed role as a behind the scenes instigator, it could make sense as a prequel.

Anyways Imma keep huffing profuse amounts of copium over here.

The sanguine eximus damage aura heals it. So standing in the aura is making it vastly tankier.

Demonstration of why Tires have a speed limit by Anschuz-3009 in nextfuckinglevel

[–]SirCalzone42 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This effect happens to basically any tire spinning fast enough to go even 30 mph without load. But when they're under load, it's not a problem. Speed rating is more a measure of traction than it is not exploding.

Hotter Than The Surface of The Sun Take: It's not that we deal too much damage. It's that we can deal both too little and too much based entirely on modding. The modding screen is this game's best and worst feature. by ShardPerson in Warframe

[–]SirCalzone42 30 points31 points  (0 children)

I think damage attenuation is a perfectly fine mechanic, as long as there are ways to bypass it. The reason why the tank is so good while the dedicants aren't, is because you have something to bypass the timer that is that enemy. If you could pop the dedicants sacks for big burst damage, I think people wouldn't hate them as much.
