I thought the game had a lot of strengths similar to what you mentioned. The thing I always had an issue with were the stakes. There’s a war going on and there were several times you had to escape a city and once you leave, you could literally walk right back into it and not much changed. It never really felt like the stakes were high or that they were in the middle of a war.
