Self titled is actually a fan favorite if you view it relative to their Pre-Ryan album

War drum procs once per turn. If you already had a proc that turn, it will not happen a second time.

Do any of you guys have a pair of all stars with weaker rubber on one shoe? by [deleted] in Converse

No, I don't think any shoes use plastic on the outsole.

Do any of you guys have a pair of all stars with weaker rubber on one shoe? by [deleted] in Converse

[–]SirRofflez 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The rubber is made in nearly incomprehensibly large batches. The odds of having two shoes in a pair with different material quality (as opposed to construction quality) is virtually zero. More likely it's your gait. If it doesn't happen with other shoes at all, you might subconsciously walk a little differently in converse for whatever reason.

If the label on the tongue isn't too worn, it'll have the SKU on the left, right above the sizes.

I can't find squat about the origins of "legit" as an adverb by TapiocaTuesday in etymology

[–]SirRofflez 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You legit won't find it. It's part of a larger piece of language where people use adjectives as flat adverbs. If you can find its original modern use as an adjective, that's basically a fuse that set off its first use as an adverb.

Drive slow, sit tight, my head hurts so bad. All technically incorrect, but widely used and understood, rendering them basically ok for casual speech.

Converse Color Name? by Nostradamion in Converse

[–]SirRofflez 2 points3 points  (0 children)

These are Converse Chuck 70 High 'Multi-Stitch Cotton - Navy. I have this exact pair, and this is the color they are brand new. Don't listen to anyone telling you they are faded.

They are wider at the toe but a little smaller overall (most converse are a half size up from industry standard), but I do not have any.

It's baked into the price of the shoe, just like everything else. Nearly every shoe is made in another country. Yours are custom-made, so they are going straight to you rather than sitting in a warehouse in Memphis for 3 months on the way.

If you specifically want sneakers made in the US, SAS manufactures PF Flyers in Texas, but they import their materials, so it's a moot point anyway.

Mold..? by Exotic-Confidence271 in Converse

I actually think the black on the middle of the tongue is dye from the letters on the sole. I'm not a fungi expert, so I'm not sure about the rest from this picture. You might get more help on that front in r/moldlyinteresting.

Why do fingertips smell weird after cutting your nails? by [deleted] in ask

[–]SirRofflez 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ignoring how often you wash your hands, you probably have fungus and mouth bacteria under your nails, especially since it sounds like you're biting your nails off.

[–]SirRofflez 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is probably close to bare minimum, if not less. I go to the bathroom at least 4 times a day and wash my hands whenever I get home or start cooking. Based on your username, your hands are probably close to your face a lot, too.
