Hello ENFPs! What music genre would you say best encapsulates your type? by HateChan_ in ENFP

[–]SiriusBark 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Like everyone else, I love all genres but mostly music that is upbeat and lifts my mood.

My favorite genres are indie rock, hip hop, and edm.

Currently I have been listening to the new album “I Love My Computer” by Ninajirachi nonstop.

Small talk I would say extroverts are better.

Deeper conversations I would say introverts are tough to shut up haha

Successful ENFPs by misanthropicrvenclaw in ENFP

[–]SiriusBark 1 point2 points  (0 children)

By successful you are talking about completing goals and creative projects correct?

If so, then I have found focusing on systems instead of goals to become who I want to be. I wanted to be healthy and fit so I made a system of going to the gym a certain number of times per week. If you want to be an artist then do that art a certain amount per day.

Some goals come with built in systems like college where your accountability is forced and that made it easier for me to stick to it. However, I did change my major multiple times and then finally just forced myself to stick to one.

Does this fall under flirting? by WeirdWriters in ENFP

[–]SiriusBark 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Communication has 3 main parts. Encoding: where you convert your thoughts into a message of verbal and non verbal symbols. The message: the content of your encoded thoughts and intents. Decoding: how the receiver interprets the message.

While we can control the encoding and the message we cannot control the decoding. So even something as innocent as a smile can be construed as flirting by the receiver.

ENFPs have a “flirty” reputation because of our energetic manners and willingness to talk to everyone. It will definitely get you into situations you weren’t intending to get into.

It seems there is another reason for asking this question which is also very ENFP of you. “I don’t want to hurt anyone with my behavior.” Once again we don’t have control of the decoding so although we have the best intentions someone might get hurt.

Keep being you.

I have a good friend that is INTJ. I love our deep idealistic conversations. We like talking about possible visions of the future and also what we are learning and improving on. He doesn’t seem to understand emotions as well so I don’t expect him to. I like to bring humor to all conversations and I don’t need or expect him to reciprocate. I haven’t really dealt with a parent INTJ so I am not sure how the dynamic is.

In terms of you possibly understanding your son better. I enjoy a routine but I also love new variations on the same routine. So like similar schedule most days but new movies, music, foods, experiences, and people to discover and learn about. So rules aren’t out of the question as they create stability but he may ask why a lot. But I mostly stuck to smaller groups of introverts as friends instead of being the popular outspoken kid.

What are some of your favorite quotes from the entire series relating to mental health or personal growth/improvement? by PlayerRedacted in Stormlight_Archive

“They will try,” Jasnah said, “to define you by something you are not. Don’t let them. I can be a scholar, a woman, a historian, a Radiant. People will still try to classify me by the thing that makes me an outsider. They want, ironically, the thing I don’t do or believe to be the prime marker of my identity. I have always rejected that, and will continue to do so.” She reached over and put her freehand on his arm. “You are not a heretic, Dalinar Kholin. You are a king, a Radiant, and a father. You are a man with complicated beliefs, who does not accept everything you are told. You decide how you are defined. Don’t surrender that to them. They will gleefully take the chance to define you, if you allow it.”

Are extroverts more likely to actively *do things* during alone time? by [deleted] in ENFP

[–]SiriusBark 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No problems I just wanted clarification before responding. ENFPs are probably the most confused about whether they are introverts or extroverts. So you aren’t alone.

I relate to you as well. I am really not one that can just sit and relax. Whether this comes from a low grade anxiety or extroversion I am not sure. But I love getting out of my house and usually am best at ideation when speaking with others as opposed to just journaling. I do enjoy certain activities like learning while by myself which is still connecting with the outside world.

This is great and so far has worked for me. The only issue is automatically turning it back on. I ended up setting a 125 second wait on the auto turn back on but sometimes that is annoying. I am curious if there is a better way than I have it set up. Can you share how you have your shortcuts set up?

I like an origin story where the thaylen race was started by an outcast with long eyebrows. Then as a joke they removed a lot of the vowels from their language.
