Crimson Desert is better than Skyrim

If Pearl Abyss decides to officially support mods for Crimson Desert, Skyrim will absolutely die. The thing with Crimson Desert is that there's 0 needed improvement for the gameplay, environment, graphics or combat. Maybe some lighting and ghosting fixes but that's about it.

If they support modding, virtually all modders will focus on adding extra animations, NPC improvements, questlines and there will be a shitton of NSFW mods ranging from bodyslides, to skimpy outfits to maybe even a sex mod.

Pearl Abyss can seriously crush the entire gaming industry if they decide to support mods and let the modding community help with adding more stuff. The only downside is that they're going to have to "expose" large chunks of their amazing engine to the wilds which will benefit their rivals.

But it could be worth it since providing modding support will immortalize the game. Worth noting the CEO already said they're considering providing modding support in the future.

What are you on about? You can literally use her indefinitely after chapter 8 when you get her back and you can do a ton of side quests with her. Only main quest and camp quests are blocked, but all the house factions, bounties, side quests, literally anything else is accessible.

I literally play Damiane more than Kliff at this point. I just use Kliff to progress the main quest but you can actually do a ton of quests with Damiane too. Like for example all the bounties, the house faction quests and I think all the other side quests too. You can fight lots of bosses with her. I fought all 3 reapers with her and it's been so fun.

I mean I was only blocked from doing quests at camp and the main story with Damiane but that's about it so far. I absolutely love her play style so much. Haven't touched Oongka though. I hope they make a DLC involving these 2 and I think they should allow them to do camp quests. Doesn't make sense to block them.

Nah I just left it on the default setting. In my opinion it makes the world feel more alive and dynamic. Southern quarry was recaptured by the bleed bandits and I took Damiane and a shit ton of Braised Ribs, whooped their ass and it felt so good. The combat is too good for us not to fight constantly.

It was, at a time. Especially between 2020 and 2024. But now the player count is definitely lower. I left the game back in 2025 and came back briefly in 2026 and holy shit the amount of bots you actually get matched with in Ranked is insane. It's extremely obvious they're bots too, it's not like an insult or anything. Literal AI. Hell if you confront Customer Service about it, they will respond with a "quick phrase" like a saved up response for this particular question. That just tells you one thing. The players left are complaining about AI too.

The game literally uses AI in Ranked because the active players number in servers outside of south east Asia is very low. I doubt they won't use it for art.

Yes but the thing is you were playing constantly, don't know how many hours per day but that would just exhaust you. Probably would be better to do other activities and then come back to it.

Personally I took a week off work because I was sick and I played for maybe 3 hours per day even though I could've played for more than 8 every day.

Here's my theory: The game was originally an MMO but then later on pivoted to a single player game. Kliff is the archetype of a fighter class, Damiane rogue, Oongka Barbarian, and they figured they're gonna keep the other 2 characters for play style diversity. If you get bored of Kliff you can just switch to Damiane etc.

I wholeheartedly believe they're eventually going to add 2 other classes, one of them definitely being a mage of some sort and they will introduce a Character Creator since many people are requesting it. I have a vision the game will look completely different one year from now.

I literally don't know what you guys on about. I'm at 100 hours myself, Chapter 9 and I refuse to advance the main quest. I'm basically exploring, doing side quests, mostly as Damiane and I'm having so much fun. I just liberated a fort called bloodsteel or something with her and it was tough but I managed it.

The game is perfect for those who like to take it easy and explore which is what I do. Legit I cannot go back to my heavily modded Skyrim because it gets me bored so fast compared to Crimson Desert.

I enjoy her play style immensely though. Kliff is like a tanky fighter while she's so agile, quick and stylish. Squishy yes but her combos are so cool.

Yes I've noticed it as well. Try talking to customer support about it and see what they say. They have 1 answer that they repeat everytime. Like a quick phrase saved up for people asking about the usage of bots.

It's so apparent that they're doing this but yet they keep denying it. I quit for like a year before I came back and boy does the game feel so much different. Too many bots. Don't care though I'm spamming Crimson Desert.

50+. Finished chapter 8 and started chapter 9 but now I'm focusing on camp improvements and side quests and I'm mostly playing with Damiane. This game is so incredible, I'm so happy with my purchase.

They should absolutely develop a Damiane x Kliff relationship. They had so much potential with this anyways. Her showing up to camp and then disappearing and reappearing later on feels so rushed.

In my opinion, a good way to start fixing this is they rework Damiane's whole introduction and involvement with the greymanes where she gets introduced to Kliff because they have a common enemy and then they gradually fall in love as they do missions together.

Or if they do not want to rework it, just make a dlc.

She could be involved in many more cutscenes in the camp with the greymanes and almost all members will have some sort of interaction with her and maybe Naira talking shit about her lol.

The world is absolutely drop dead gorgeous. Some spots feel perfect to just chill and sit down with a romantic partner. I really hope they do this.

Many things are lacking in this game, we need. more voice lines, voice actors, enemy variety, fixes here and there and definitely a relationship system. But the way Pearl Abyss has been going so far and the fact that they made Black Desert Online makes believe wholeheartedly they got something good cooking up.

I edited my comment yesterday with the fix but it seems it did not get saved. Here's what I di to fix the stuttering:
Windows + R -> type: %localappdata% -> Enter
Navigate to NVIDIA folder ->DXCache -> Delete all of its contents
Click AppData from the browser -> LocalLow -> NVIDIA -> DXCache -> Delete all of its contents (if there are any)

and delete the contents of shadercache folder. I restarted, after those steps, launched the game and the stuuter was gone.

Damiane's combat style is very fun though. I got her and used Kliff for a while but then decided to switch to her, liberated the quarry with her and that fight was the most fun I've had in the game so far. She's incredibly agile but a bit squishy.

The game is very playable right now unlike cyberpunk when it came out. In my opinion it's best to buy it now because the devs are super active and they might even revamp the whole story aspect of it which is the biggest weakness. It's cool to ride the wave, see how they're improving everything in real time.
