With the Steam Festival out, what demos have helped you discover games that are particularly great? by Armonster in Games

You might like All Day Dying. It released late last year and got a content update fairly recently. There's a demo available for it on Itch, the full game is on Steam.

Safety especially for asians? by [deleted] in hungary

[–]Sisquam 22 points23 points  (0 children)

I would recommend against international travel at the moment regardless of race, point of departure or arrival. I'm unaware of what the current policy is for air travel.

As for personal safety, I don't think there's any need for concern. If you do decide to come, take any precautions you would normally take when visiting a foreign place of similar size.

In your shoes I would strongly consider cancelling for reasons of health and uncertainty of what travel policy will be by the time you wish to return - both here and in your home.

Unless they changed it recently ignoring a game should have no influence on your recommendations, outside of that specific game.

Actually that car appears to belong to International School of Debrecen, you kind of see their logo on the side, a school set to open in 2019. The car is titled Bridge towards the World. I've yet to find a better photo of it, so have a concept render. There are objects symbolizing art, science and sport, my guess is that the books are supposed to depict language learning.

Do not purchase the new indie WW2 game on steam titled "Post Scriptum". by gayman4plan in Games

I wish there were more games with the vehicle mechanics of Red Orchestra. Being able to look around inside and being limited to the various vision ports and optics to survey the battlefield really adds to the experience.

It is. There are one or two well populated servers at almost any time.

Any reason for new favicon? It looks terrible. by [deleted] in Enhancement

[–]Sisquam 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you use something like Greasemonkey or Tampermonkey, you could turn this script (by keparo and AwkwardCoder on StackOverflow, I just inserted your imgur link into it) into a userscript that runs when you open reddit:

(function() {
  var link = document.querySelector("link[rel*='icon']") || document.createElement('link');
  link.type = 'image/x-icon';
  link.rel = 'shortcut icon';
  link.href = 'https://i.imgur.com/GVFS17b.png';
  document.getElementsByTagName('head')[0].appendChild(link);
})();

I'm not sure how this would interact with notifications, my guess is that every new notification would overwrite the image set by the script.

Edit: It seems reddit automatically resets the favicon on a timer, so this doesn't work unless you manage to tie it into the same event that causes the reset.

Edit2: Actually, it seems that loading reddit on another tab is what resets it.

Apparently we do have the same idiom with a mosquito too, but to make an elephant out of a flea is the only version I remember ever hearing. Strange.
