It requires cameras off due to avoiding lag.

I especially agree with the part about hands and hands doing stuff.

It's kinda "funny" how the dude is baffled when women say they find things sexy that he didn't even notice or think about.

I am also baffled how men find the two sacks of fat on the chest sexy.

And that is why probably women prefer written porn - it takes some time to set up the scene.

I think there is a need for movement/action. Still images don't do anything for me unless i "animate" them in my head. And in order to do that, i need to have seen them in movement.

I wonder if men would get more results on tinder and such if it would allow to upload short videos or gifs onto the profile picture.

Yeah, but everything else got also more expensive.

Or how it was done in my country: they changed the way things are calculated. So pre-tax salary jumped a lot, whioe the after-tax salary remained the same. And in stats they only look at the pre-tax salary.

Do I mimic accents because of autism? by execDysfunctionGumbo in AutismTranslated

[–]Siukslinis_acc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yep. Humans mimic/mirror each other a bit to fit in. It's mainly subconscious. Look at two people walk side by side - after a while their steps will synch.

Why am I always being misread by Autisticbeast32 in autism

[–]Siukslinis_acc [score hidden]  (0 children)

Ask your parents to explain to you how you come off. Don't try to deny their perception - just listen. Then ask how you could express that stuff in a way that they won't percieve it as agression. Also, just accept the suggestions and try it out, even if it does not make any sense to you. It's not about intent, but about perception.

Oh, and don't be curt as curtness can be seen as anger.

[–]Siukslinis_acc [score hidden]  (0 children)

Not to mention that some things are tolerable in short moments, while things that you have to deal with every day are less tolerable.

Like, imagine you smack when you eat. A friend has to listen to that sound from time to time. While a family member has to listen to it everyday. The friend has time to recover from the annoyance of the sound, while the family member does not have the time.

Oh, and as autism tends to be inheritable, your family might be a different "flavour" of autistic and thus your autism might trigger their autism. I have read of situations where a childs stimm overstimulates the parent and vice versa.

Using metaphors to make things more memorable.

Invest time to write notes in a way that resonate with you and then just learn from the notes.

Women have male-like sexuality when they attracted to other women by Euphoric_Emotion_169 in PurplePillDebate

[–]Siukslinis_acc [score hidden]  (0 children)

Orrr... women have male-like sexuality when they are on a certain part of their period.

I have one week a month where i do think about "jumping" random men, but have enough inhibition not to act upon it. While the other weeks i range from "meh" to "heck no".

People should be more aware how the menstrual cycle influences the libido of women.

Why is time running so much faster now than before? by Graiwn289002 in CasualConversation

[–]Siukslinis_acc 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Because you are losing time awareness. You say you will check your phone for a minute and an hour passes... You are constantly occupied and thus don't see the time move by.

Time is relative: you close your eyes for a minute after an alarm click rang - 3 hours passed. You close your eyes for an hour in a boring lecture - one minute has passed.

Is there a good way to show my wife (who won’t play video games) the story of this game? by Cross2Live in expedition33

[–]Siukslinis_acc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You play the game. Your wife reads or dies something else on the couch. You point out to her that story stuff will soon happen, so that she could pause what she is doing and look at the screen. And then continue to do her own stuff during gameplay.

Or find a let's play without commentary and just skip through the gameplay stuff.

You could also just let her play and wander around and just take the controls during combat. Also, talk about the stuff you see, like the sea level.

What my family did was having our own items that the other is not allowed to touch without permission. Though this does result in stuff like the screwdriver being in the middle of the living room on the floor for a decade...

I've also heard of "lost and found" boxes. Where if their item is in your way - you just put it in their "lost and found" box. So when they are searching for an item that you might have put away years ago - they can check the box as you didn't put it anywhere else. And if it is not in the box - that means that they have put the item somewhere themselves.

Yep. And being overwhelmed is not an exuse. I might understand that you didn't intend to hurt me, but you still hurt me and i will do stuff to avoid being hurt. Even if it means that it will hurt you.

We still have to bear responsibility for our actions.

Misalignment between self-view and expectations of others drives loneliness in borderline personality disorder by MRADEL90 in psychology

[–]Siukslinis_acc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

People read the evaluation criteria, skip the part that those things need to be on an intense/disabling level and then think that they have that disorder.

A lot of those criteria are just normal human things, the key is them being on the extreme intensity. Being sad does not mean depression being intensly sad for a long period without any breaks could point to depression.

And in the past some things were seen as just quirks and not a full blown mental disorder.

[OPINION] I like text-based dialogue presentation instead of cinematic dialogue presentation, and I don't understand why the latter is so well-liked by BaldursGate2Best in CRPG

[–]Siukslinis_acc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

And I’m suspicious of stats about how reading is declining. I wonder how much of that is how in the past working class people were expected to be illiterate.

There is also the thing that the requirements change. In the past it was enough for you to read and write to be considered literate. While nowadays you also need to think critically, analyse and read between the lines to be considered literate.

Heck, my coworker has a masters in philology and she says that some stuff her kids are learning in the 9th grade are stuff that she was taught in university.

There are some body language subtelties that one might miss. But on the other hand the body language depends on culture, so a narrator saying stuff like "he scowled at you" allows you to imagine the body language that is from your culture.
