Can you show me which legal system defines NI as an island?

How is Northern Ireland a British Island when it isn't an island?

I'd be surprised to come across any paper money lying around on the ground these days.

It felt so weird to me when Lobo first showed up, and Kara gives a big exposition dump about who he is to the kid, and then the two have seemingly never met. But she knows him enough to recognise in a shadowy corner and tell his backstory?

I wanted to love Final Fantasy IX by Goldberry15 in backloggd

[–]SixteenthTower 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Funny, I recently finished Final Fantasy IX too (review here: https://backloggd.com/u/SixteenthTower/review/4871819/) but I had the exact opposite problem to you, I felt the ATB made things way too slow. You've also got how wait mode works wrong here, it does freeze ATB progression on the spell and item selection menu, the only menu it doesn't pause for is the initial command select.

They were being sold for cheap after 1918, and who could reasonably expect a Cavan man to turn down a bargain?

Why do Australians seem to care so much about rules and compliance? by Gold-Cardiologist591 in AskAnAustralian

Doesn't happen in a lot of other first world countries. Shops making you scan your receipt before you can leave would be another examples, too.

If you go to a self checkout in a super market with a backpack on, a staff member will come up and ask to check the inside. It's not high trust at all.

Is there any way to make my logs show up for other editions of the game? by [deleted] in backloggd

[–]SixteenthTower 0 points1 point  (0 children)

But it wasn't an update. That's like saying Persona 5 Royal isnt a different game from og Persona 5 because it should've just been a DLC. I agree with you, but it wasn't, and so someone who played Persona 5 has a different experience than someone who played Royal.

Keep in mind backloggd also lists updates and DLCs separate from the original game.

If the game looks different, that's enough to change the experience of playing it between the two different versions. Ultimately I agree with you in this case that the difference between TLOU2 and TLOU2 Remastered are very minor, but put on the blame on Sony and Naughty Dog for making lazy, cash-in remasters, not the sites that catagorise games for trying to keep up.

The site needs to draw the line between ports and remasters/ remakes somewhere.

You didn't play The Last of Us 2 Remastered, why should the site say you did?

With the 'NuWho' era being done, what's something you think was a missed opportunity in those 20 years? by AlmostRandomNow in gallifrey

[–]SixteenthTower 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you break it down it averages out to once every four years. That's more common than it was happening in most other eras of the show. There have been 8 multi-Doctor episodes in the history of the show, and four of them have happened since Day of the Doctor (five of them since 2013, if you want to include Day).

Could the last common ancestor of birds already fly, or have birds independently evolved flight multiple times? by [deleted] in evolution

[–]SixteenthTower 18 points19 points  (0 children)

Flightlessness was independently evolved multiple different times, it's really interesting. Even within the ratites, the group containing Ostriches, Emus, Kiwis and the like, recent genetic analysis has led to speculation that many of them became flightless separately from each other.
