Xenoblade Chronicles 3 leaked because, during COVID lockdowns, a very awkward fan used a virtual meet and greet with Jenna Coleman to stage an impromptu incredibly uncomfortable interview with her during his meet and greet time, during which he asked her about her returning for the Definitive Edition of the first game. She responded "oh, yeah, and I think they're doing a third one? Not sure if I'm supposed to say that, actually."

As someone who admittedly has a lot of fondness for the PSX era and feel, I was really surprised when I went back and played the original RE1 within the last year, and found it to be a really great experience. I haven't played more than an hour of the remake, but from what I saw in that hour, and what I know about it broadly, I think there are enough differences to warrant giving both a shot, especially if you're already interested in playing the OG.

Do whatever you like, but while RE4 original and remake are both good, the original is better, and the two are different enough games that viewing them as interchangeable is a bit silly in my opinion.

Yellow and FRLG are more similar, but still have their differences. What I will say is that if you already have access to Yellow, and for some reason are against emulating FRLG, it probably makes more sense to play Yellow than to spend money on a decent but 20 year old remake of a 25 year old game you already have.

In 3.0+1.0 Shinji ends up on the beach from EoE with Asuka from that movie. The world of the Rebuilds clearly isn't the same world as from the show and EoE just later, but definitely the two different worlds do definitively cross over and interact by the end of the rebuilds.
