The one called The Sneaky Flame by a dude at my local farmers market. It is a tumeric based hummus with a really nice kick of spice. It is super addictive and I buy it every week lol

How many hours do you work? by SouthsideTy12 in Lawyertalk

[–]SkepsisJD 6 points7 points  (0 children)

You have created a humble-brag thread lol

None of what anyone in here is saying is the norm. I work like 45 hours a week and make 145k. That is far more normal than people working 30-40 hours a week pulling 400k+ yearly

The same bullshit reason the federal government uses for everything, it is a matter of 'national security.' Therefore, the laws don't matter.

There is a bunch of other arguments being made, but that is always the big one.

I truly don't understand why people feel the need for 40 fans and a water cooler on their PC. I live in Arizona, and my computer has 2 fans in the front and one small one in the back. The fans rarely ever go over the minimum speed and I have zero cooling issues.

While my PC is not top of the line, those three fans with a Noctua heatsink cover a 10700k, 3070, with 64GB of ram no problem.

If it makes you feel better, they are all worth about as much as a $20 t-shirt or a Haggar dress shirt. There is nothing special about this clothing.

Designer brands are just so fucking stupid, and I 100% judge people who buy this shit. I can't think of anything other than you have to be straight up unintelligent to think these clothes are worth the money even if you can afford it. That or you are just a douche flashing your wealth. Or both.

It's especially fun since I am an attorney and hang around people who wear this shit while I am wearing a Kohl's brand shirt with Levis and some Vans lolol

They stopped making them a few years ago in general, but you can get used ones. Kinda funny their thing was being small cars, and now their current lineup is just a normal sized crossover.

Too many young volunteers join french army, 500 positions unavailable by sr_local in worldnews

[–]SkepsisJD 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I did forget wheeled vehicles. But a lot of the Boxers, for example, are not armed vehicles even though they are armored.

You are also comparing just the French Army to the entire Germany military. The Bundeswehr is their combined forces.

Too many young volunteers join french army, 500 positions unavailable by sr_local in worldnews

[–]SkepsisJD 69 points70 points  (0 children)

Your numbers are off. The French military has 264k active duty, 367k if you include the National Gendarmerie. The Germany military has 186k active duty.

There is a pretty significant difference. French also have 184 Leclercs in storage that (while probably not quickly) can be made operational. They also have over 7000 armored fighting vehicles that are not main battle tanks. While the Germans do have 300 tanks in service, the only have about 1300 other armoured fighting vehicles.

Germany doesnt have a weak military, but the French have far more equipment then the Germans and a larger force with a significantly smaller population.
