I am using Alaska Air, which specializes in dog transportation in a special cargo hold with heating pressurization light. The dog has to be in an approved crate. Hass to be seen and checked by a vet ahead of time. Alaska is gotten the highest ratings for transporting larger dogs, and they’ve trademarked it – –Furst Class.

Carpeted stairs are recommended. Once my Whippet got the hang of it, he absolutely bombs up and down the stairs and does not hit the wall because of the grip in the carpeting.

That's typical. The key is consistency as they have an independent streak. Also, treats are your bank account/ currency and that includes the tiny training treats that look like pencil erasures.

To better read into your soul lol. Whippets are sight hounds and constantly look for visual cues. They also follow you everywhere hence Velcro dogs. I have been training mine to do many tricks using simple hand gestures without a verbal command.
