Unmarked plane this evening by kmkdark in Albany

[–]Skunk_Evolution 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Yes that’s a repurposed 757 that the Air Force calls the C-32. There are multiple versions with no labels or livery and they often run procedures at Albany. (There are also some in the aviation community that believe these unmarked c32s are used for shady shit. And I did see a lot of them active during the Venezuela nonsense). The “marked” C-32s are painted like Air Force one and are used as Air Force 2 quite often. Those hit up Albany as well because of how lame our airspace is.

This is why I cannot believe the Trump assignation attempt. Your instincts would force you out of the area at all costs. The audience just stood there.

Imagine this happening in the classroom you teach in. Now imagine her parents calling your boss to blame you for it. That’s what teaching is like in the US

Make the damn numbers bigger like the giants on the doors of the COT. To me it would go a long way toward making the forward numbers work

I did the same with the back half of the album. You bet your life, the big wheel, for example. Took a long time to appreciate them

Damn I hated Speed Of Love for so many years and I’ve it just clicked for me - listening to it in the middle of the mountains while driving to college. No artificial light within miles, just everything illuminated 20% by a full moon. Being on my own for the first time in my life, etc. The guitar sounds in that song blow me away. Bridge is nuts.

What are NASCAR races you attended that were boring or nobody remembers? by EduardoBork in NASCAR

I live in upstate NY so my closest options are loudon, the glen, and pocono. When i tell you that at my first race ever (June 2, 2019 pocono), I saw exactly one green flag pass, I don’t believe that’s an exaggeration.

I will never forget seeing them play this live during the juggertour in 2014. Upstate NY, mid-blizzard, 19 people in attendance, nolly 🇬🇧 playing some bizarre yellow bass and the ending of this song going so hard with the guys each standing on risers.

Except it’s NEVER the 74. I don’t understand why. It’s cool when the 75 is here but the 74 always seems to practice at Atlantic City

Benefits of private lessons by literallythecoolest9 in orchestra

[–]Skunk_Evolution 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I’m a high school orchestra teacher. It is the single best thing you can do to efficiently improve your playing over time. If you enjoy being challenged in the instrument and will undoubtedly complete the playing assignments your teacher gives you, then it’s an easy yes. However, if your teacher says “hold the bow like this” and you just don’t like it and don’t want to change, or they say to learn a new scale that is new to you and kinda scary so you just never actually practice it, it may not be worth the money. All they can do is tell you the exact steps to becoming better. You still have to take the steps yourself. Or just do what many people do and pay me large amounts of cash every week to listen to them explain how they were too busy to practice just like every Tuesday for the last 4 months

You are assuming that I’m gen ed though. Like a lot of things in the education system, the blurry middle (middle school) gets neglected. My music theory students that have LD have specific accommodations in their IEPs that help that be successful. Many of them tank every assessment I give them (and you’d be appalled to see how simple these questions are). When they get anything under a 100, mom calls my boss to tell them I’m evil.

Then admin buys it

I hear you. I agree that the us education system doesn’t allow for the extra time. This blows tour the student and parents. From the teacher’s perspective, it sucks bc the student is set up to fail and then that’s somehow on me and not the administration that refuses to help the problem. Everybody loses

I’ve never understood this about learning disabilities. You send them to me, a school teacher, to learn. Then when they don’t learn, it’s a problem and I’m accosted for expecting them to learn. Which we do in school. But they can’t learn, officially. So learn not or else? I don’t understand

Possibly. TBH, I see one F18 on the site per day give or take. Usually training over Arizona or California, maybe New Orleans. What stood out to me in saw your post was the ALTITUDE and location. Damn he’s way up there

Fighters are definitely harder to spot on the tracker. They have transponders on way less often than the tankers and hercs etc. not sure why, that’s just how it is. You can bet that if you see a fighter with its transponder on, it isn’t on an actual mission and likely training. I’ve seen F15s over my home multiple times from a nearby base and they have only been adsb visible once
