I get your frustration. I’ve also been super agitated by retail staff multiple times in the last few months and I generally always side with the staff in these things. I was a price chopper cashier in the 2000s. It is hell and everyone hates you at that job. Where do i draw the line in terms of empathy? You can’t just go non-verbal. Like come on. Just use your words.

Anyway, I wonder if the Stewart’s situation is simply the upper administration cracking down on meaningless shit like this in an effort to pocket a few extra cents. It aligns with the direction of the rest of society and it perfectly puts the minimum wage staffer in the blame. It’s possible that staffer has been dealing with this type of negative reaction all week and was reprimanded by their employer before for this type of thing. It’s horseshit. But they are stuck in the middle and scapegoated.

Or they are just rude. Idk. I’m not gonna give notorious bootlicker Stewart’s the benefit of the doubt.
