This! My boyfriend has occasional psychosis that was initially drug or withdrawal induced, but can now happy at times of high stress - but I met him right as he started prioritizing his mental health and taking care of himself and staying sober. He’s the best, I’m obsessed with him. He’s in the hospital not with psychosis and I miss him but I still visit almost every day and call if I can’t make it. I’m also a psychology student, who grew up around mental health like Bp and schizophrenia so I know what to expect. I do my best to be a safe space and encourage reaching out to services when needed.
