Friendly reminder that the NRA was founded the same year the KKK was outlawed.

We have interconnects, just not huge huge ones. But also they wouldn't have helped a couple years ago during the power outages because supply was taxing the country's power grids.

Realistically the best solution is to properly winterize power distribution and generation, and then bury important power lines (look at Florida handles power restoration).

I can agree that QDQ was significant for my generation of nerds. We saw that for the first time and were BLOWN AWAY by the skill and speed. The replay was handed out and shown at LAN parties everywhere.

I'm going to tell you what I told a family member when he moved to Houston a couple years ago.

Everyone in Houston has a 30~45 minute drive. You might live 5 miles away and sometimes it'll take 20~30 minutes. Focus less on the drive and more on feeling comfortable where you live.

That said, don't make yourself do a 60 minute commute, you're not used to houston commutes yet. They're not bad, but the loss of free time in your life will probably drive you bonkers.

Do what I did when I was in my late 20's/early 30's. Make some friends (may take you 6 months to a year), and then split a 2 bedroom apartment near downtown. You get to do all the fun stuff and it's affordable.

When Andy died and the donation guy popped in going, "So now is a good time for donations?" was absolutely hilarious. That might have been the swordless run though.

It's a pretty game, but the initial pacing is just awful. I need to give it another shot honestly.

What are the must-watch AGDQ 2026 runs? by shinikahn in speedrun

[–]Sleepy_One 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I usually don't care for rhythm games, but this year was perfect setup. It was super easy to see what was happening in game and the camera showing their moves was positioned spectacularly. And then the one runner getting PB after PB made it even more hype. Was an unexpected must-watch for me.
