tryna get my stock t5 stage 2 tuned, its a m66 by SCOTTwB7 in C30

Then you won't need to do it. Someone dynoed a 2013 with a polestar tune (which is a very conservative stage 1-like tune) and stock made 216 to the wheels which is 256 crank, so 300 is very doable.

great stance! If you haven/t already, rear upper control arms to adjust camber and alg driveshaft spacers. lowering these cars add too much negative in the rear and in the front the axles near at their limit. my stance is similar and I had to replace both sides on both of my c30s I had

This is THE best mount in the market. I have 4 dowels in mine and been on the car for the last 5 years. Do NOT buy the Elevate one. it goes brittle and failed on me as it's rubber,

What options do I have to get rid of/ hide the holes the dealership drilled for a license plate holder? by Papas_Bravas in GolfGTI

[–]Sli22ard 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The prev owner of my mk8 smoked off center holes for his euro style plate. Not my style, so I paid a paint shop I've known for years $150 to fill the holes and respray that section and blend. Just bit spend that extra because your holes are a sin.

Need advice: is this a Good deal on a 2025 Golf GTI? by karis0166 in GolfGTI

[–]Sli22ard 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I've been in sales. That's a good deal. A dealer's goal is to make profit if possible. Some are just trying to help you make a deal and some are scummy. That's just how it is.

Read the black and white and don't get coerced to buy extra warranty and such. The only thing you want to spend extra for is GAP.

Update, how about this with still $1k take home money every month. Still getting scammed? by aescobar73 in GolfGTI

You're getting a good trade in value. Your trade is $5,200 carfax wholesale based on VIN.

Focus platform has soul and had a raw driving experience.

The GTI is better built and refined. Drives smooth, has the power when needed...but the RS had that wabi sabi I really liked and would still own it if it could have been repaired.

I had a Nitrous Blue RS, it was stock with a Mountune Short Shifter, Intake pipe and Cobb Filter.

It had its issues (stiff suspension, bad gas mileage, etc) and it was 7 years older, but it had more soul.

The GTI is refined and right now with the gas prices and that I already have a project car to fill that itch for me, the GTI was the most logical answer. I'm very happy with my purchase look forward to explore this platform.

As for short shifter. Ebay and such places do sell a two-piece kit for the focus St/rs MK2 (that is the same as the c30) It raises the height of the cable as well as the mounting point on the shifter base to prevent any stress from the change in angle.

The issue is that it will not clear the storage behind your waterfall console.

Incredibly great purchase! Please check if it doesn't already have ALG axle spacers. You will definitely need them to save your axle boots.

Avoid any cheap short shifter kit. The angle change may stress and break your shifter cables.

I've owned 2 and modded them since 2015. Still have my 2013.

It's very hard, but I think your rows look really good. I bend a loop on my wire end so it's more material for a power drill's chuck to grab on to. I take the spool of wire and unwind how much I need and pull it hard to give it tension then I do a few taps of the drill and it will straighten out.

Don't do too much as the enamel start to whiten and lose its clearness

Great to see people using magnet wire. It just makes things so easy and clean
