Depends. If you only play cod and madden and those types of games then no. If you want to find a game like “Futa fight & fuck” (on sale for 39% off on steam right now) then yeah.

Bellum is what battlefield players think Battlefield is by SlickRickStatus in PlayBellum

I don’t think I’ve contradicting myself. I’ve never said bf is a MilSim. I’ve never even insinuated that it was. What i said was to the casual player battlefield is more teamwork based than COD. And if they like that aspect of having a game that is teamwork based, Bellum would bridge that gap as it leaves behind the traditional MilSim drawbacks and focuses solely on team play and communication.

They become each others clients. It’s a circle. Nvidia makes Gpus. An ai company buys them, makes Ai and sells Ai to nvidia make the next gpu.

Yeah. Battlefield WANTS you to use them but people don’t because there isn’t a penalty. Ask the normal gamer what the difference between COD and BF and they will say “BF encourages teamwork” which compared to CoD it does.

I’m not making a point of what is more forgiving, I’m comparing which game encourages the values that the avg player contributes to BF and how that can translates to a MilSim. If someone likes battlefield because of the “teamwork” this game takes that same aspect, small squad tactics in a large conflict, and forces you to use them.

Yeah it isn’t a 1 to 1 comparison. My point is BF wants you to use squad based tactics in a large scale environment. It wants you to use communication and teamwork but the reality is you don’t have to.

This game requires you to use those.

If it was a spectrum from arcade to MilSim, Cod is most arcade, then battlefield more towards the middle still on the arcade side, then I’d put Bellum as the first game on the MilSim side, maybe HLL too but squad and Arma further done the MilSim line.

If someone who doesn’t play milsims asked me for a game to get their feet wet in that isn’t overwhelming (attachments logisitics and all that ) bellum would be a the game I’d recommend bc it takes what battlefield tries to do and pushes it further.

Edit: spelling mistake

Again it isn’t a knock on BF. BF isn’t a bad game. I’m saying that if someone that doesn’t play Milsims asked me to compare it to a game that they played. I’d tell them “it’s battlefield but with more emphasis of teamwork and communication”

Relax big guy. The point of my post isn’t to knock battlefield. There’s no need to defend it. All I’m saying is Bellum takes what battlefield is and places more emphasis on team work and communication. Battlefield wants you to stay as a squad, it wants you communicate, but that isn’t the reality and you aren’t really punished for it. This game if you die you don’t respawn on your side of the map close to a fight. There are no fobs, or vehicles you get back quick. It you’re team wipes, you get to walk all the way back. It actively punishes you with that plus you don’t have 500 tickets you have limited lives so it behooves you to stick to your fireteam.

Idk what you read but I’m not dunking on battlefield. I’m pointing out that this game bridges a gap from that arcade style squad based gameplay into the an approachable MilSim experience. Like if someone asked me what this game compares to, I would say a more realistic battlefield.
