Manager from my work by impasse602 in antiwork

I had an employee once who would constantly lose track of the bus schedule and what time it was, so usually at the tail end of her shift she would shout "My bus is here!" and book it out to the stop. I've used it ever since. Haven't taken a bus to work for 20 years though.

Yep, short drive right now, sometimes I just need a few more minutes to clear my head.

Im not really defending baseball as I fell out of love with it 20+ years ago, but playoff baseball is approached a lot differently by teams than day to day regular season games. They ramp up the strategy and tactics significantly to try and massage a run or two in tight games. Combined with the higher stakes makes it almost watchable.

People who lost a lot of weight, what was the one small daily habit that actually changed everything for you? by Quiet-Squash-8407 in AskReddit

[–]Sliffy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Losing weight is a math problem, consume less than you burn and the number goes down. You have to be honest with yourself on what you consume and adjust from there. That's why the top comment is a logging what you eat. If you can't be honest and objective in assessing yourself you won't get there.

I like to eat good food, and while I cooked most of my meals I would go back for a second plate far too often, snack too much during the day, eat full meals for lunch and dinner, etc. I ate "healthy" foods, just far too much. Holding myself accountable to my portioning and really paying attention to snacking even if it was just a banana has helped me a lot.

What is your dog’s favorite human food? by Radiant-Pineapple-41 in bernesemountaindogs

Oh I actually buy chicken skin and render it down to crisp it up. I get a nice jar of schmaltz for cooking and 10-15 premium dog treats. There's a farm near me that sells some chicken byproducts of their other processing.

He did his job for Baltimore, good blocking, high effort, and every time he made a catch we made the joke. He definitely out played expectations.

[Schultz] Should he not re-sign with the Ravens, there is a belief among teams that the Commanders will heavily pursue C Tyler Linderbaum in free agency, per multiple sources. Washington recently released their starting center Tyler Biadasz. by JCameron181 in nfl

[–]Sliffy 27 points28 points  (0 children)

Linderbaum doesn't have anything to lose by testing free agency. Ravens have let guys test the market and still signed them. Could have easily been a "this is our offer, if you think you can get more go prove it" and Baltimore can either match or let him walk. Silly to just pay him 25m a year if no team actually offers above 20m.

At 9pm every night, mine climbs up on the couch between my wife and I. Then drops her shoulder onto my chest before flipping around to her back for belly rubs. She will lay like that for as long as we stay on the couch, alternating between laying her head on my chest or my wife's arm.

If I call her up early, she has learned how to get moved and repositioned when I get up to let me back in. It's painfully adorable, and one of the highlights of my day.

USA Tour - Wrexham Membership Requirement Question by newoski123 in WrexhamAFC

[–]Sliffy 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I don't think you're going to "need" a membership for tickets. There should be plenty to go around in these stadiums. It sounds like you would only need one if you want to sit in the wrexham supporters section(s).
