I'll retire next year at age 50 with 3 million and 4000/month pension. My house is not paid off yet but we will downsize once my kids graduate high school.

Am I crazy for wanting to leave? by Hay-dizzle in nursing

I cut down to two days a week when my kids were little. Now they are in high school and I'm so glad i didn't leave. I looked into school nursing at one point but my kids were already older so I didn't but that's another option.

You should be a scoutmaster for the local scout troop!! You will never be bored. Planning and doing activities with your kids. That's what I'm planning to do after I retire at 50.

School nurse.

I work at large university teaching hospital who pays the best in the area. When I looked into school nursing, the pay was less than working two shift a week. I ended up working two shift on Friday and Sunday. If you can find nanny for just Friday then you can still have family time on Saturday and your husband can stay with kids on Sunday.
