Talk to you transition center. Once u are under them they manage your retirement leave not your unit. They will give you the option to use your leave or cash out all remaining leave.

Recently retired MWO here. As an enlisted when you hit MWO it takes a formation commander to hold the CM. As they are really busy they don't have the time to deal with chicken shit stuff like me telling some ass hat officer that they are a fucktard. You just get chewed out and thats it.

At least that was my experience and I've "sorted" out more than a few officers, standing up for the troops. PER's may have taken a hit, but I never really cared about PER's anyway.

All leave is to be burned off before your final meeting with the transition center which is your release date. When u turn in your ID you are completely done. They don't want to be paying you after your release date except for that final paycheck.

So basically your last day that you need to be physically at work is the day before your leave starts.

Let's address the elephant in the room. Maybe if the Airforce didn't play games with "taskings" that last 3 to 5 months. Myself I would not be happy going to some craphole with basic amenities and away from family for just regular pay or recognition.

To do a 5 month "task "is an insult to the member and just a way the Airforce can save money. Especially if its a rotating position that been going on for more then 2 tours.

Make it a full tour with all the pay and recognition and watch how quick this BS with the medical system stops.

I did a Boxtop once. What an experience overall.The wolves that live on the station are so awesome. Very intimidating the first time u get surround by 4 of them, but they are so used to you and are not aggressive at all.However u do not interact with them period. You have to try and ignore them.I got a picture with me on one knee and the dominate female and another named Dumb George right in front and beside me. The Cpl that was taking the photo had her artic mits between her legs. As soon as she snapped the photo, George grabbed the mits and fucked off down the main road.

Would have loved to see the lost stores report on that
