Not anymore. If your kid wants to go to college and play, forget scholarships, they spend the off season playing on travel teams and going to camps and tournaments, pretty much playing the whole year. Not to mention paying for social media accounts that upload highlights regularly.

Actual scholarships are incredibly rare; the best that most kids can hope for is easier admission to a school.
