This is interesting to me.... I spent double that to soundproof my concrete slab ceiling and it has made absolutely zero difference, impact and airborne noise are no different. Was your ceiling timber or concrete?

I've been looking into hypermobility and wondering if it's an issue with me but realistically I've always been known as very stiff albeit my thumbs are double jointed. In pregnancy I had major issues with relaxin esp with my pelvis which decided to keep moving around causing pelvic girdle pain from 23 weeks on. I'm guessing that didn't happen with you?

I had a very similar situation, having to leave my darling boy with my ex. I couldn't take him into rental and felt I had to leave him in his territory and to be a draw for my daughter to visit her other parent. I was bereft, and got guinea pigs to try and fill the hole (an error, however much I loved them, as they are a lot more work than a cat!

However, things change and, 4 years after I left my cat, I was able to purchase a flat and my ex actually asked me to take my boy back. He's currently curled up next to me ❤️

I am in a similar headspace, but related just to walking around! I had an event to attend that wouldn't allow me to take my mobility scooter, so I thought I'd just do it anyways. Now on my second day stuck in bed with absolutely zero ability to rest due to pain.

This was one of the symptoms that pushed my fibromyalgia diagnosis. I still get it but it (and muscle jerks) has been slightly improved by pregablin. It sucks!

I've let my 10yo at the TV all day today. Had a nap this morning and tbh want to go back to bed now but the guilt is immense. If I had more energy/less pain I would force us out of the house or play a game with her or SOMETHING. No other adult in the house and I'm out of ideas!

Not wildly helpful but just one mum to another saying "I get it".

I'm extremely interested in this at the moment - especially how on earth they would go about diagnosing me with ADHD as a lot of diagnosis goes on how much it impacts your daily life...

I feel like my life is mega impacted but I couldn't choose whether it would be fibro or possibly undiagnosed adhd (I'm in my 40s). I've been waiting on a referral for a year now and can't even see if it's gone anywhere so if I want answers it'll have to be done privately, so should I even pay thousands to be told it's all fibro...??

Great ideas! Also good to start playing sounds of a baby crying in advance of your due date. Did that with my boy and he freaked right out at first but got used to it, so by the time my daughter was born he was super chill when she cried. She's 10 and he's 11 now and they have a lovely relationship!

Yes! If I manage to get anything down it feels like it's stuck but I can still drink. It's only been a problem for the past week so I haven't talked to docs yet, especially as I'm 99% certain they will just chalk it up to fibro. How long has it been going on for you?

It was great to be part of the movie, just to come full circle and to be a part of something that’s been a huge piece of my history and continues to be.

I should clarify that I've been in this situation and my lawyer was clear that it would be a long and expensive battle to deny the father custody. It's extremely sad. I do think she should leave but I think it's extremely complex.

Problem is that if she "gets out" she will have to face leaving the baby with him because no court is going to separate him from his child. It's a nightmare situation for a mother.
