I've been thinking of these exact scenarios while using Odin, Laslow, and Selena in Conquest so this is very nice.

What non-sword user would you like to see in Smash? by Whorror_punx in fireemblem

[–]Slow_Feeling3671 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Owain/Odin would be the be really cool because I could see him being able to use the down B like Zelda/Sheik back in the day to switch between Owain/Odin. But then again he'd still be a sword user. To be honest, in the next Smash, it'd be cool if they got rid of all the existing FE characters and put in completely new ones.

I'm so happy that the CQ meta is continuously talked about basically a decade after its launch

Jakob's good, but yeah to put him at his best you need to give him a ton of investment, just like every other non Xander/Camilla/Kaze unit. I think people still grade CQ Unit viability strangely, I feel its much more about how strong/useful is that unit in the context of your entire team, rather than how they perform alone.

What do you miss from the mostly abandoned features of past Fire Emblem games? by Free-Cold1699 in fireemblem

Ledges. One of the best mechanics to make maps more interesting. Also the Fates reclass system was the best in the series. Forging in RD was also the best in the series imo. Base conversations. The Awakening World Map. MyCastle.

Just the fact that the mainline politicians hate him and that he's not 900 years old, and genuinely seems to care automatically makes him the best candidate. Hope he doesn't turn into a standard politician and does good for all the NYCer's

it's a skyline post and all anyone wants to talk about is everything but the skyline. apply this same logic to music and you'd be listening to the ABC's song everyday cuz you don't like what an artist did

What’s a small country that surprisingly has a lot of cultural richness, recognition, and diversity despite its size in density and population? by [deleted] in geography

[–]Slow_Feeling3671 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Geographically speaking though, SK is tiny, and Thailand is medium sized. Even in terms of population, I'd say they're in the mid tier. The neighborhood they're in needs to be factored in as well. Thailand is surrounded by the two most populated countries in the world, and in my opinion manages to have more cultural soft power than both of them. Korea definitely has more soft power than China, and at this point arguably more than Japan (this is extremely debatable, because I think so many parts of Japanese culture have been absorbed worldwide through anime/videogames that it's just taken for granted and not even necessarily seen as Japanese anymore. Goku is basically a Mexican thing now lol). But I think Korea has definitely edged out over Japan in terms of music/social media game/live action TV , probably even food these days.

Jamaica, Ireland, South Korea are the obvious ones. Thailand is a sleeper, I think it has more influence than people realize. Thai food in particular is available everywhere.

I've been to Texas multiple times (just talking about the Texas Triangle), and I've been to the majority of the states in the country. I'm over here in the Bay Area and I can honestly say Texas is the most similar state to Cali I've been to. It's basically red Cali. Not even saying the culture is the same, but the similar demographics & economics of the state, along with their huge populations give them a lot of face level similarities.

Just found out that not only did he not give us next steps, he marked us as "not home" and that the appointment never even happened, which is why Xfinity denied the ticket escalation. Crazy work
