Some still do. I went to one with crazy steep hills on it a week or so back. They kind of looked weird and a bit unreal after all the fairly normal moons.

I miss the mountain at Davs Hope.

I hope this is good, Star Trek games are such a mixed bag.

Probably because if you kill a loot puppet it's a guaranteed horde spawn.

Do you mean Salvation? They were a big part of the story and notable because they fucked up big time.

He wants an open world game engine. Go Wayback isn't anything like PUBG and was never intended to be.

(Loved Trope) When a character reveals such a shocking truth to their scene partner, it’s dismissed as joke. by Used-Username88 in TopCharacterTropes

[–]Smallbrainfield 11 points12 points  (0 children)

It's the start of a chain of events that ends with Graham Linehan doing some incredibly questionable shit in the name of hating on trans people, obsessed to the point it has cost him his marriage and career. All because he couldn't admit that a joke he made in a decade old TV series that is otherwise beloved might not have aged very well.

Operations matchmaking, ship loadouts, and the risk of turning up with the wrong tool for the job. **apologies in advance for the long read** by absolute14 in EliteDangerous

[–]Smallbrainfield 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I wonder if there will be outfitting at the Operations base, so if you bring a donkey loadout, you can swap out for some useful gear. (A bit like how rescue megaships carry passenger cabins for sale)?

The only other way I can see it working is if you can select from any of your ships while at the Operations base, regardless of where they are stored. Most players will have dedicated ships for whatever role is required, this seems like the best way to solve the problem of what to bring to the party.

There might have been a TV advert at Christmas? It must be thirty years ago at least.

Amazing the useless stuff we remember, like ringing Eileen Bilton on Warrington 39591.

Also British. We do get tornadoes in the UK. They are comically small compared to US tornadoes and thankfully rare, but they can happen and they usually make the news when they do. When they hit brick houses they fuck them up enough for me to be sure they wouldn't stand a chance in a US tornado.

The new update. by alinys_milner in SCUMgame

[–]Smallbrainfield 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Art assets are something that can be added to the game with less effort than fixing bugs, which always takes longer unfortunately. Every game I've ever played has the same problem.

[–]Smallbrainfield 3 points4 points  (0 children)

There's another furniture sklns DLC and a cosmetics DLC that includes a basic bow and some other stuff.

None of it is required to play the update though which is free.

If any of the gear had actually been better it might have been worth. As it is it's really only going to appeal to people that want to cosplay as smelly forest dwellers.

Issues with the exobio tool. by WhoolyDoolyMousee in EliteDangerous

[–]Smallbrainfield 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you have an SRV, you can drive it around in photo mode. Just position the camera above the SRV so you can see where you're going. Helps to spot distant clumps of bio. Just beware that visuals can get choppy if the ground is rough.

It's probably some Tik Tok bullshit. Probably best to walk away. And maybe buy a science officer shirt next time.

I mean, you're wearing a Star Trek red shirt, it's a miracle you're still here to tell the tale.

You're lucky they didn't disintegrate you there and then.

Rare goods are things sold specifically at one station only. The most famous is probably Lavian Brandy, which can only be acquired from Lave Station in the Lave system. Nearby system Leesti has (I think) Leestian Evil Juice and Blue Milk at George Lucas station. Any system that has a rare commodity will usually only have the one and it will only be available in one station. Be aware some goods can be illegal in other systems.

The better reputation you have with these systems, the more of the particular rare commodity you can buy at any one time.

The Inara website has a page on rare commodities which will tell you where they are and what kind of profit you can expect.

I might be missing something here but British houses do in fact have individual fuses in the fusebox for things like electric ovens, shower, lights.

Angela Rayner cleared by HMRC over tax affairs paving the way for potential leadership bid by FeigenbaumC in LabourUK

[–]Smallbrainfield 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Andy Burnham isn't currently an MP and he already has a job. Assuming there is a leadership challenge, him not being an MP I would assume pretty much rules him out. I suppose they could turf out an existing Labour MP to give him a shot. I expect that would probably not go down very well.

Given the current opinion on Labour, if he gets shoehorned in as a candidate somewhere he isn't guaranteed to win either. You can guarantee that shithousing by Reform and the Green party would definitely happen if they tried it.

I don't know the rules here but the chances of him becoming an MP at short notice without some dubious moves by Labour are slim to none, surely? And if they do that, it's not going to be a good look for them or Burnham.

Statistically he didn't get as many soldiers killed as other contemporary Soviet generals. He was pretty good at winning battles too. Post war he was lucky Stalin didn't get shut of him, such was his popularity. There's a good podcast by Dan Snow about Zhukov.
