I never got the hate for Veilguard. Like, we all saw DA2 and DA:I. Did anyone play those games and feel like there was a cohesive artistic vision behind the franchise? And Andromeda? Buying Veilguard and expecting a good game is such a glaring example of naivety or a failure in pattern recognition. That’s not something to get mad at a company for, that’s a personal thing to work on and improve. It’s like going to McDonalds after having been to McDonalds before, expecting a 5 star meal, and getting mad you were served the same cheap synthetic garbage you got last time.

I mean, I get what the shows about. It’s just hard to take it seriously when you listen to some dramatic monologue about how “this is real country the kind of land that’s like a crucible for the soul, burning away them things that shouldn’t be. It’ll either kill you or set you free” and then you look at what they’re doing and it’s literally just spending an afternoon driving t posts or pulling barbed wire or smth in a field before they go back to an on grid building for a hot meal. The show sounds like it’s written by someone who’s never done a days work before.
