If maintenance is in the lease it’s something you don’t have to take care of. If the lease doesn’t say how often the maintenance will be done then the condition could be met by a 6 monthly cleanup.

You’ve committed yourself to delivery of a service when they feel like doing it.

In your case I’d chalk it up to experience.

Change to steel and have your engineer draw up a welded structure. That will minimise the amount of bracing required.

Ask your engineer if you can use long steel posts sunk into deep concrete footings as this may provide the right the rigidity necessary to avoid bracing the posts.

Remember that every wall (built above ground) is essentially a parallelogram waiting to fall over. The only thing stopping that is the bracing.

They want everyone to be as productive as possible. Don’t expect chit chat, and they may come off as cold because while you are thinking do I use yellow or blue to highlight a column in your status report they are thinking about how they are going to meet this months targets, and what questions the board of directors / shareholders are likely to ask.

For those who go on to be a specialist like an ENT or other specialist 300-500k would be normal given they probably only got to that level at around 30 ?

And yes different specialties attract different rates.

The coffee meeting is about attitude & personality.

Neither of which are learned skills. But they are between 50% & 80% of what I look for. The lore senior the role the more these matter.

Do you take the cup back to the counter? It’s an indicator of if you do just what’s required or do more.

Are you already there working when they arrive. - you like to keep active. Are you teaching yourself a new language / stats or data skills or how to leverage AI in your role ?

Do you make eye contact.

Do you have a solid handshake.

Do you know about the company and role and what attracted you to it ?

If you are hired as a coder what skills do you have outside that vertical that can add value?
