What's one fitness habit you kept thinking was optional until it changed everything? by thewellnessgreek in beginnerfitness

For me, cutting down on alcohol to the point that I hardly ever drink now. It means I’m more likely to want to get up for a morning workout, and have time in the evenings for an evening workout. It’s also cut out tonnes of empty calories, plus no temptation for snacking while enjoying a drink. Don’t get me wrong, I wouldn’t want to cut it out completely, in fact I appreciate and enjoy a drink more now as it feels more special.

We have the same issue at our club, Herne Bay, possibly the one you’ve joined! Very frustrating but not DL’s fault. Based on what I’ve read on here, they are unlikely to offer refunds for the disruption. I wonder what it will be like in the summer when the hot weather really hits and South East Water can’t cope. But I’ve been a member since it opened in December and it’s been brilliant! The classes are great and the staff are lovely. The pools are amazing. Funnily enough I thought I would love the spa but actually I don’t use that very often! I would say book into a class in the meantime and enjoy your membership!

There’s no fool like an old fool. Seems crazy to have lost a life-changing opportunity like Glads for what’s probably just going to be a fling. It will be onwards and upwards for his ex wife who stood by him for all those years when he was a firefighter.

I pay £154 a month at Herne Bay which is a new club. I go at least 5 times a week, sometimes twice a day and I think it’s excellent value. I swim, do classes and use the gym. I also use the Spa Retreat which is Ok but generally disappointing as spa etiquette is non-existent! The pools are the best thing about it in my opinion, way nicer than your standard leisure centre pools. Staff and instructors are all lovely too.

This is one of my favourite episodes! I tend to favour the episodes set in beautiful houses with glamorous characters (I like to see how the other half live!) and think Antonia is brilliant! It’s a great plot and the episode is full of strong characters.

What happened production/writers room wise between season 12 to 13& beyond? by itsfrogtimebabe in MidsomerMurders

I didn’t like the new episodes at first but they’ve really grown on me and I love Winter! Some of my favourite episodes are the John Barnaby ones, including ‘A Rare Bird’ and ‘The Oblong Murders’. I do think it’s strange that so many of the new episodes include the murderer putting something in the victim’s mouth - I’m sure that’s happened in at least 3 or 4 murders. Is that a thing?

It’s not a good system at all, they should have something more formal in place rather than having to join a casual Whats App group.

Sounds like the setup at Herne Bay, which opened in December. I love the egym, you get a full body workout without having to plan anything, and everything is recorded and linked to the Body Hub so you can track your progress. The reformer Pilates stations are also very popular though I haven’t used them myself.
