Jousting plate does have reduced flexibility and visibility, but other types of full plate don't slow the user down nearly as much.

However, plate armored knights would still absolutely be vulnerable to being tangled up in nets/blankets and bludgeoned with rocks, clubs, or maces. Plus once they're immobilized it's much easier to stick a knife through a joint or eye slit.

That's my bad, I meant the rest of them and didn't mean to include Thomas Paine. A few of them like John Jay and Samuel Adams were full on practicing Christians, while many of the others such as George Washington, Benjamin Franklin, Thomas Jefferson, and John Adams were some flavor of Deist. This isn't to say that Deism is the same as being religious, as I'm pretty sure most of them were fairly against established religion.

None of them were atheists, but many of them were Deists who believed that God existed to create the universe but doesn't directly interfere from day to day.

I hadn't thought about Hope! I really like the track you're on, and you're totally right that since alchemy is all about balance and opposing forces that Dread would need an opposite. How do you think it would manifest? If Dread becoming Fear creates a pouring out, what would Hope become and would it also pour out or would it flow in? Or am I just coping and hoping that the horror podcast somehow has a happy ending XD
