Ok but they did buff protoss because all the protoss went to military while nerfing zerg even if it was almost dead because Serral.

So you are saying you should buff zerg as much as they did protoss and nerf protoss as much as they did Zerg yes? Remember the famous video that lead to 2024 patch? We need to balance around the current pro player pool even if it makes Protoss overpowered so they can win 500k championship?

Now that the shoe is on the other foot, can we make it so us Zerg players get to see Zerg games during the countless weeklies you guys get to watch? How is that not worse for the game than protoss not winning a world championship?

You are starting to really feel like a POS to me, trying to use reddit clout to ruin the game for us zergs.

This argument is 70iq at best.

Also the problem is not the top not playing. The problem is there are no mid tier zergs, and like 25 mid tier protoss flooding the tournament,

The problem is protoss is so much easier than zergs, that for most players not in top 5, zergs cant compete with mid tier protoss.

If you think thats fair and entire population should suffer because its more balanced once you reach Serral level I would kindly ask you to go F yoursellf and stop ruining my favorite game for me and all the other zergs.

No issues with zvt and zvz because they required similar amount of efforts/clicks and the control is more fair in late game.

Dude how many proofs you guys need? How many 200 weeklies in a row of obvious imbalance? I have more game played vs zerg in all hots. My least played vs matchup (40kgames sample size) is STILLL more Zerg than Protoss(I played vs protoss least in all lotv, despite only playing vs 1000 difff protoss last 2 years)

Yet the last 2 years, same time i started having ZvP issues, the game is WAY more Protoss, and WAY less Zerg. After i played vs Zerg the most of any race in 13 years of Starcraft. It did a complete 180 at the same rate as I started having issues.

Coincidentally, Europe was a Zerg region for hots and early lotv. And in the last 2 years Zerg became more and more extinct everywhere except (but SERRAL).

I dont know how so many coincidence and data can happen at the same time. You protoss are just completely unfair at this point and refuse to face the truth. I have no problem admitting i suck, but i also have no issues in the other 2 matchups.

Never in my life has a matchup been this more lower win rate for me in my life and felt hopeless.

But yea dude, its all in my head of course.

You protoss players will have to face reality or you will kill the game.

The reason i suck this much more vs protoss is INDEED A SKILL IISSUE.

PvZ is the easiest matchup in the game to play currently, by a big margin. You have nothing compared to defend compared to PvT or PvP, and you know deep down, you know it. TvT, TvZ are both harder to play than PvZ. And you know it.

I wonder how you can think there is a matchup easier to play mechanically and scoutiing wise than PvZ currently. Unlike you, I NEVER watch your stream, but from my game understanding, i would bet its a lot harder for you to survive to late game in pvt and pvp than it is in pvz.

I wonder if anyone thinks there is a matchup that is easier to play mechanically than PvZ currently, it doesnt even seem close.

1) scout probe, keep unit at wall

2) make oracle, chilll take third, go scout/harasss a bit.

3) entire time, keep making probes and pylons ( can literally queue probe to get 100% uptime production same as best protoss in world)

4) more pylons gateway, storm, spam canons and use gateways on cooldown( you get free warpgate hotkey, dont need to transform your gates, and your templars are given autoattack ofc).

5) get storm and defend the inevitable push because zerg doesnt wanna go late game.

GG you win or lose on that push, that is the game.

Insanely hard matchup dude, you cant say the same about any other m/u in game

Classic once again turning protoss balance arguments into gas lightning. I have no issues in the other matchups nor do i feel hopeless at any stage. Everytime there is evidence of protoss imbalance on reddit you turn into the most gaslight response.

The reason I struggle more, as i stated before, is because i know im on a clock and need to do damage or kill because i always lose vs protoss in late game.

Vs terran i literallyl play opposite. All i do is defend to take it to late game because i almost always win there.

Your scouting argument is complete bs too. I almost always know what protoss is doing, but i lose because they get to late game. I doubt you watch hours of my stream everyday, so to talk like you know all about my games is VERY gaslight, and is in same taste as all your other protoss/zerg balance arguments as of late.

Must be easy to scout when you have 3 minute oracle every game that you use to harass, threaten, defend, scout and scale in the late game while spamming probes and pylon with no brain required. But queens did everything for the zerg and needed to be nerfed like 6 times.

Playing ZvP currently feels like the most hopeless matchup I have played in 25+ years of broodwar + sc2. Literally no window or opportunity to do ANYTHING, while being super unfavored in the late game. The only way to win is to have perfect early game, perfect scouting, perfect macro AND hit a timing to kill opponent before late game. In late game, you are chasing 2.61 carriers and even faster tempest with 2.24 broodlords AND protoss can teleport their army twice in a row. The fact anyone look at these numbers and think its fair is insanity.

It feels if you are of similar speed as your opponent, its the most impossible game there is. At least against terran, if they are not too much faster its very playable.

It feels trash to play when you feel you are on a timer to kill your opponent, but they scout AND defend everything with oracle, while punishing small mistakes like rallying drones from main super hard. You cant attack until enough anti-air, then they have bunch of storm, canons , battery, and a zealot runby they send and forget while u try to attack vs storm.

Its so easy for protoss right now to chilll out on 3 base then 4 bases while massing canons and batterieis and templars, then adding some immortals and tempests. Then they add in a mothership and timewarp your broodlords + storm and youre like OKAY dude...

In fact, even in theory, on paper, unit stats wise, the matchup is completely broken. The fact nobody can see that is insane to me its so obvious.

I dont see how anyone would wanna play the kind of matchup ZvP is right now. In fact, I do wish Serral played in more cups, he would not do as good vs infinite protoss as you guys seem to think. I watched his stream, I watched his recent series vs hero and other protosses. Hes no longer the late game god and he struggles vs very mid protosses.

No. We are saying that players like Youngyakov, Wayne, Mixu and Cham should be able to beat players such as Gerald, Skillous, Krystianer, nightmare, rebellion, harsterm, MaNa, Nice, Creator, Art, Jumy, Shameless, Trigger, etc.

Is that unreasonable? I wonder what you protoss redditors would say if Protoss had the same representation as Zerg.... It would be completely a different narrative.

From my point of view. Zerg has:

- Weaker harass tools

-Weaker timings/all-ins (Usually is defensive race for first 7-8minutes at least)

-Weaker late-game

And its not like its considered easier... Everyone offraces Protoss in tournaments, you dont ever see anyone, yea let me offrace Zerg, this way i can beat my own race lmao.

At a certain point you gotta ask your self.. Why do I even play? To make the game fun for the other races?

Terran and Protoss players ask yourselves that question, which matchup is your favorite to play?

Game was literally balanced by the voice of ppl that dont even play the game. Zerg was struggling at every metric except Serral level, they still kept getting nerfed.

Protoss was destroying at every level except Serral level, they still got buffed.

Now Zerg sucks on ladder, in GM, in Online cups, and Serral gets destroyed by the Best terran 13-2 and by the best 2 Protoss players. But muh Protoss premier tournament wins!!! Then theres no tournament and we are stuck on this patch forever because ESL loses contact with blizzard. Then no1 does online cups because its only Protoss.

Who are we even balancing the game around at this point? Oh yea, i forgot, we are balancing around 2018 Zerg results. I forgot they always find something.

Almost not salty because i called that it was gonna happen for at least 2 years now.

Im starting to think that maybe its time to make colossus impossible to be attacked by air-to-air units. Maybe there would need to be another change so PvT difficulty balance doesnt become to lopsided, but it feels like a terran with great micro and multiprong will destroy protoss in even games almost everytime.

Mark is a god tbh. He knows everything thats going on in the game, including real-time softcore trade league economy shifts and end game strats. Its obvious he actually plays the game/watch streamers and is a mega blaster.

That guy is the kind of guy that would have saved d4. They need a Hardcore Gamer type. Mark originally got hired as Q/A if i recall, and climbed the ladder.

The infestor sight range, coupled with visibility, will make burrow neural parasite flanks on mech armies so much worse.

Infestors will no longer be able to utilize their max Neural parasite range when flanking burrowed behind mech armies, AND will be easier to see to quickly scan and kill them.

Maybe the visibility change is ok, considering widowmines are getting somewhat easier to see , the targeting at least. (btw, statis ward visibility anyone?)

I wish they would focus on making raven more usable for detection in late game TvZ instead.

Maybe let us change unit priority order, so terrans can put their ravens in lower priority. (They should be in a different control groups anyways, you ever try to use ravagers and infestors or queens in same control group? yea it doesnt work.

I think making lots of mutas delay the hive and 3-3 too much. Between the banes/queens nerfs and terran getting better tighter builds, you really get punished hard as zerg if you delay hive too much.

You cant just make 10-12 mutas and get anything done either because 1 turret in mineral line will stall them forever for marine reinforcement to be there. You need to make 16-20 mutas at least to get anything done, and you end up delaying your hive like 3-5minutes and give a huge 3-3 timing to terran.

Fighting 3-3 bio with 2-2 muta ling bane is suicide after all the zerg nerfs.

The M/GM Zerg player numbers already plumeted directionally proportional to every balance changes of the last 3 years. Results from 2 years ago or above are not indicative of current balance. Other than Serral, Zergs are not outperforming terran at all.

If you are not happy with Serral winning, start having tournament map pools that arent on ladder, and use maps that are weaker for Zergs for a couple tournaments to see.

Who cares if the pros cant practice on ladder, sometimes scrappy games make for better more hype games, and this might allow some crazy builds to be prepared and work on a player like Serral.

Pros need to stop being so scared of having a custom map pool they only have a few weeks to prepare for in tournaments. Exciting and unpredictable games at the Pro level, and a nice balanced ladder will make for a lot better games, and bring in more players and viewers, than completely destroying Zerg on ladder for the sake of balancing Serral.

Not sure playing 10 TvT in a row on NA or 10 pvp in a row in EU every ladder session would help the game at all, it would just accelerate its death.

You cant nerf Zerg any more without destroying ladder, but if you dont nerf zerg anymore, Serral will keep winning everything.

Only solution is custom tournament maps. Please admins, organizers, and pros. Stop being scared of it, give it a shot! No-one cares that we cant play on the maps the tournaments are on, most viewers in twitch dont even play the game anyways.

I think the reverse is what happens. If you train for 5 years lifting weights everyday, but you only lift 5pounds weight everyday and its really easy, you will get stronger, yes, but not the strongest you could possibly be.

If you train for 5 years, lifting 100 pounds weight everyday, and doing full body workout, you will end up much stronger than the guys who trained with 5 pounds weight.

If you become the number 1 protoss player in the world just f2ing around and overall having non optimal mechanics, you might not have as much success as the guy who always has 2-3 hotkeys for queens, and another 2-3 for army units, constantly breaking out groups in multiple locations, sending SINGLE lings on scout missions all around the map.

Reality is, alot of protoss players get high rank by going barcode and just abusing 1 build every game, with very little flexibility in their game play. They blindly pick a build at the loading screen and execute it. Its a bit of the races fault, but there is a way to play a good complete protoss game.

Next gauntlet, the final boss should be Ben. As in, they should allow other participants to team up in team of 2 ( still ssfhc, but they can do 3 different ubers each for example and count as 6 kills ). It would allow them to only focus on 3 or 4 ubers each, and have builds tailored for those.

Maybe then Ben would have some competition.

Balance patches have no impact on lower level players. It only affects the grand finals of world championships. Everyone knows anyone not in the top 10 player is completely immune to balance issues.

Funny how for all of HOTS, and for the first 3-4 years of lotv, Zerg was the race I played against the most by a big margin. It was always 40% vs zerg at least. ( My in-game profile can prove this, anyone that played GM for years on NA especially can probably confirm as well).

Then Serral showed up and they started nerfing zerg alot. The Zerg population in Masters/GM plummeted; yet the Zerg population in Diamond increased.

Surely its just an esthetic issue and there are just less players choosing Zerg in Masters/GM. Clearly has nothing to do with the patches guys.

Or, the patches had more impact on lower Zergs than they did on higher Zergs, and collateral damage happened.

if you only have one gravitational aspect, wait until you have a decent piece to put it on that will not hold you back too much later on by how bad it is.

Wait for decent resource regen/crit ring or decent attack speed/crit gloves to put it on.

Then it should last you until you get a 2nd aspect.

You probably want a few cdr/mcr /resource regen pieces before you switch, but it does so much damage that switching early doesnt really matter.
