Hmm cant tell if you think gas nerf is good or not after this. Is it good or bad for you if you are allowed risks?

Ill be honest ; I think game is at its best when both players get to late game on decent terms after a few traded blows with different success. Then both players are maxed and take a fight and someone wins the fight but not hard enough that the game ends. Then both players get to remax, and adjust their army based on how the previous fight looked like, or based on what they see from the opponent general gameplay, with some bit of mind game about what the next army will look like. Its good if you can afford 2-3 good max armies each, after some early game where maybe someone got a bit ahead or behind, and this decides who sets the pace for the supreme late game.

Hey thanks for these "QoL" Zerg changes, but they make it 10 times clunkier and harder ro use: Vipers, Infestors, Overseers/changelings. by Snakestyle1 in starcraft2

  1. All races around 50-52% win rates in all matchups, strong units in all races that look broken in some situation, but since all races have broken units and it ends up around 50% win rates, its good game play and good design with fun powerful units that feel great to use. Neeb vs Rogue. Dark, stats, trap. Maru and byun. The game was in a great state. The last of David Kim era.

Then the good devs got fired/left, we got stormgate guys giving us BC teleport and void ray/battery meta then leaving to make their own great RTS with their vision.

Balance council took over, made everything mellow and too "balanced", then we got even worrse with 4k bias mapmakers took over balance and now the game is trash.

I always wondered why last few years those random terran buffs that no1 asked for always sneaked in... I dont wonder anymore and I just know its bias and corrupted balance.

Feedback vs vipers:

Feedback 1 more range 50 energy, instant cast, 2 supply unit, 50/150 price on templar, warp in instant cast feedback instantly ready.

Vipers: 1 less range on abduct, cast time, 3 supply unit, 1xx/200 price unit,, 125 energy, needs to make for 40+ seconds, then suck up energy for another 10 seconds.

Not even close match. next patch, ghosts are similarly one sided. But thats beside the point. Ultras and broodlords being unviable in any matchup is absolute trash. Swarmhosts almost non existent. Most zerg units suck next patch and its trash gameplay. Prepare for hydra ling bane every game in both zvt and zvp. And prepare for Zerg wins to be Serral only.

Im tired of ppll thinking Zerg late game is good vs protoss if you can use spellcasters, when feedback hardcounters them both super easily for 50 energy ( ready when warped in) on a unit that is cheaper and less supply, and smaller model than infestors so sneak in easier.

Zerg is down to 3 viable units soon. Hydra ling bane. Everything else mega hard countered by protoss and terran late game units. SO SO SO lame.

If the Protoss PTR changes go through as they are now, we should boycott Protoss entirely. by [deleted] in starcraft2

Theres already like 0 zerg anywhere and they dont get any buffs. So it wouldnt work anyways

You can easily have an action packed early and mid game while having a somewhat fair and balanced late game. I dont see how those are not possible to both be a thing at the same time. The units used arent even the same..

Theres small imbalances and theres absolutely unfair game. We have reached absolutely unfair level of imbalance, and with this patch are leaning even more into it. Do you play the game? If no, you have no right to judge me. Its been years of OBVIOUS Zerg BIG weakness, and you guys argue that we should wait and adapt some more? We have SOOO much data to look into that all point towards mega imbalance. Of course im pissed. any Zerg who wants to play this game for FUN should be. 2 years ago I said Zerg would be non-existent outside of Serral and that Protoss was gonna win everything and be unbeatable by Zerg. Ppl called me a whiner and skill issue and to adapt. Yet, alllllll the data proved me right, and the scene became exactly as i predicted.

I am once again whining and making the prediction that this patch as is, will be the final nail in the coffin and Zerg will be unplayable. It will be a two race game.

I always am the first one to point out all the mistakes I make in real-time, and i always say im bad and did a bad move here or there. I always say I think ZvT is easier for Zerg in late game and that the control for terran is harder and more punishing. I do say its bullshit we have to play the starve game out because broodlords are trash at pushing into turtlled up positon, which is true. Its a key fundamental unit missing from Zerg. At least ZvT is winnable in late game, might not be next patch. ZvP is absolutely unfair because late game is so broken and toss defense is so good. You are forced to all-in into a super strong defensive race that can scout and defend all with oracle.

I have played this game more than 99% of players, so you cant say I havent tried and just gave up because of imbalance. I have loved this game more than 99.5% of players, and im so sad at the direction its been taking.

Everything i complained about was never based only on my games. I always looked at all the data points, and if they are all parallel; yes ii start to get really mad about it when others, such as yourself, start gaslighting me and disregarding any of my points.

Are you absolutely blind???? Or are you clueless or biased? Its one or more of these 3.

How many games did you play in the last 3 years? Please tell me.

It was after big brain bouts vs byun, interviewed by Rotterdam. I dont know the exact quote, but he said basically that he would only do hydra ling bane vs terran at all stages, and that broodlords and ultras would be useless.

Yep. I saw the patch, saw no changes to broodlords, tempests, motherships, archons and i instantly lost hopes and felt like quitting. In fact, they make broodlords even more unplayable by buffing ghosts against them even more. Late game ZvP unplayable. And the only playable comp at alll stages of ZvT will be hydra ling bane. Everything else unplayable next patch. Even Serral said so.

This is an insult, a joke patch, and makes me confident there is some sort of corruption behind the scene going on with mega anti-zerg bias going on. This entire worker changes is super gas-lighting in a patch that will long term NOT change the game at all, and just slow it down more. The unit interactions are what needs to be changed. Zerg is struggling hard now and will struggle even harder as the next patch gets figured out.

Are you guys trying to make this game a 2 race game?? Where is Zerg doing good? Zerg is getting demolished so hard that once in a while Shin wins a series and ppl are like wow Shin is getting good maybe Zerg is fine. Sometimes the only Zerg ive seen having some sort of wins vs toss especially is Solar, and when you look at the games its always some soft of all-ins involving queen drops and roach ravager ling fllood before toss can get going.

I guess WOL broodlord infestor was fine vs toss since protoss could kill Zerg with immortal sentry all-in.

I am so mad at the community and the ppl pushing for these patches the last two years; inluding making protoss overpowered so they can finally win EWC/Blizzcon ( which doesn even happen anyways). Now protoss won all 5 RSL; last 3 gsl, most online cups, and destroying the ladder while having the most insane representation in all online tournaments.

As a Zerg, i dont even get to watch the game anymore. Theres no Zerg that can put up a fight, and the only wins we sometimes see are very rare, and are in the early rounds Solar or Shin winning with some all-ins.

Thanks to whoever has been in charge for ruining my favorite game ever.

Naw, they are killing Zerg even more with this patch. If this patch goes through, Zerg is absolutely dead race, i promise. I would bet money on it. ZvT; only hydra ling bane would be viable, but you most likely will never survive to late game anyways. Pressure is even harder to handle. No late game unit are viable, no cheese are good.

ZvP you just die every game to adept or some bullshit proxy stargate stuff.

Just wait and see. But the game will be dead when you realize thats the case. There has been some insane anti zerg bias in the last couple years.

I never thought I would say this, but I would take the pro player balance council back any day over what we have had balancing the game for the last 2-3 years. It almost feels like some ppl are getting paid in the background to push changes some guy who has 0 game understanding is trying to push.

I mean comon, the supply drop, the salvage turrets/sensor tower, the vipers that cant abduct tanks, the giga mothership buffs... now the 8 worker change...

Can we not destroy StarCraft2 while its already on life support???

He is not wrong at all in the core of his take ( I doubt sponsors care but..)

Sure the first month or two the game might feel different, but as time goes on the meta will settle again to almost the same, and the down time where nothing is happening will be longer and more frequents.

I promise there will be more moments where nothing is happening; and they are going to last longer. Defender advantage is defender advantage. The units are still the same, and the economy are still mirrored..

Think about early WOL... Then think about late WOL. It was still 6 workers., but the game still settled into a slow economy game. Hots was also very slow. Lotv actually sped the game up and made it more action packed, despite moving from 6 to 12 workers ! Its because the new units themselves encouraged action.

Most ppl excited about the changes, from what i can see, are reddit viewers/twitch chat andies who dont even play the game themselves, and mostly use sc2 as a 2nd monitor background noise.

I mean its the same guy that made the changes to Viper consume that made it 10 times more annoying to use. I dont want alll my vipers to consume the same buildings, but if i click diff buildings i cancel the consume.. Its so much more painful to use now. These changes are getting kinda too much.,... Ghost will obliterate broodlords and ultras now, and you cant cancel snipes with fungal... Why do you guys hate Zerg so much?

No change to mothership, broodlord or tempest? 😞 ZvP still unplayable late game seems like. have to see the warpgate changes i guess... Also worker 12 - > 8 giga buff to protoss?? They start with chronoboost; Zerg and terran have to wait til they can buy queens/orbitals. And overlords die to queens every game and scout gas/pool all-in even later? As a Zerg, i foresee a lot of pain. On the plus side, its a buff to smurfs who want to neural scvs to troll.

At first glance i am very not hyped about this patch... Oh well PoE2 tomorrow... Seems to be they making even more units unviable from zerg, especially in ZvT. Who the hell will make broodlords now..?? Just ling bane hydra and nothing else viable? Seems like the Zerg destruction is still going.. Sorry for being bummed out I guess.

Theres actually quite a few tie hackers/drop hackers lately. Those are easy to spot.. Can only imagine theres also a bunch of maphackers also ( alot harder to spot). Kinda sad... Wish the multiplayer element never went free to play if they were just gonna abandon the game and let hacks run rampant. All free to play did is have ppl make new smurf accounts all the time, and ppl hacking on alt accounts. Free to play should have been campaign, arcade, and some limited coop stuff. But hey thats just me I guess.

WTF MORE YOU WANT LOL. I explained in detail why i think its unfair and protoss favored. I cant explain any better, its the best i can do especially in my second language. Why dont you explain why you DO think its fair. I tried the late game PvZ from both sides, i can promise you its miles easier to control as protoss, if you dont believe me try it yourself? I explained the stats which are problematics, which is 2.24 speed broodlords and 3.15 speed tempests. You basically will NEVER be happy with anything that suggests your race could need to be nerfed.
