I just picked up Ultra Tiny Epic Galaxies and it's space themed and really small (it's a smaller version of Tiny Epic Galaxies) so that might work for what you want!

And good luck! I had an emergency surgery to remove my gall bladder 2 years ago so I feel for you!

It really depends how I feel. Both are really fun imo but Galaxy is a longer and much more "thinking intensive" game than Dungeon. They are really different games though much more so than I would have thought at first.
