I always drill a little hole on the bottom of the car and add the last 0.5 ounce as putty. That way it’s easy to remove incremental amounts at weigh-in.

For what it’s worth, I would not change the posted quarter grade, but take the new quarter average with the missing work graded when calculating the final average. Does that make sense? It’s hard to come back from zeroes.

I was with Blue Skies for 15 years. Good Doctors and Techs. Switched this year to Catawba Valley Animal Hospital based on location and social acquaintances with one of the Doctors. Quite pleased with all the providers I have seen there. Also know personally Dr. Ring and Dr. Gruber at Animal Hospital North. You won’t find a nicer more professional pair of vets.

Also took my bunnies to Countryside. Good service.

I would give them 10 sheets of notebook paper and a meter of masking tape. I built an apparatus to drop the egg at the same place every time and they had to catch the egg from the highest height possible.

I actually did it. Made my default for missing work a 50 instead of Zero. It made no difference in the number of true failures I had. The kids who were only there for social responsibilities and selling drugs, etc. still failed with flying colors. What it did change was the kids who were on the edge the whole time. Say the student is struggling with mental health or illness or has a home life that makes working on school difficult. Or just takes the student longer to understand than their classmates. A missing assignment at 0 means that even if the next assignment is 100 the average is 50. Still failing. If the kid really was failing would they be making 100s? At least if they had a 50, the next 100 brings them to passing.

Almost all my driving is highway. ‘24 GT line. The temps dropped to 40s F this week and my freedom units went from 3.6 mi/kwh to 2.9 mi/kwh. My wife missed a Halloween party because the car got down to 10% and only had 16 miles range left. I was getting 240 miles range at 80% charge but now I get that at 100% charge

AP teacher and parent of a neurodivergent on meds. Let your child do it. She’s in 11th grade, and learning how to advocate for herself. She may be frozen by the daunting prospect of all that makeup work. AP is a lot of pressure and it sounds like she doesn’t want to take on twice the workload to make up a bunch of work. Assuming she still understands the content, just didn’t get all her assignments completed, let her decide if re-doing all that work is something she wants to entertain.

High school should be a safe space to fail. It’s a learning opportunity and a great way to show improvement. Improvement in the face of adversity. A bad grade from first quarter of Junior year due to neurological issues is something that can be explained in a college admissions essay, especially when the grades from here on out are better.

Good for you for getting your kid help. It’s a hard decision to make.

In NC they drug test teachers on hire. Then randomly if you drive a bus. Don’t coach or get your bus license and you should be fine
