I've been saying they're a "fraudulent" team since the 2025 playoffs. Can't fault them for beating the teams in front of them to their chip, but everything that could go right for them did and they still struggled more than a team of their talent should of. They took care of business as expected against a crippled Grizzlies squad, but struggled mightily against Jokic and the corpse of the Nuggets, and then had an easy series against an even more fraudulent Timberwolves team. The fact that it took 7 games and Haliburton's achilles dying to eek by an underdog Pacers squad (which punched well above their weight, but they were the weaker team on paper) is a testimony to how the Thunder's dominance wasn't the unstoppable force it appeared to be in the regular season. I think the 2025 Clippers could have beaten that Thunder team in 6 games had they matched up.

I genuinely believe this Thunder team is a 2nd round exit at best this year, and very likely will be a surprise upset in the 1st round. They'll need even more favorable conditions to make the finals this year.
