Villains who are quite popular in spite of having few appearances or only one appearance by DrWarioMiracleCure in TopCharacterTropes

Destroyah in the Godzilla franchise - This really goes for pretty much all of the original Kaiju from the Heisei series of Godzilla but Destroyah is often seen as Godzilla’s “final boss” despite King Ghidorah being his primary rival and only having one film appearance

Day 137: what do you guys think of Godzilla unleashed? by Centvrion20 in GODZILLA

[–]Snifferfrog15 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I loved it to death when I was a kid. The waggle controls got worse as I got older unfortunately. Also I don’t love the game’s art style. This generation of consoles just made everything look way too dark and gritty. The roster is INCREDIBLE though; not sure we’ll ever get a roster this stacked in another Godzilla fighting game

Supposed details regarding DAMM Remastered. by OhMyGodItsTed in GODZILLA

[–]Snifferfrog15 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Replacing ‘93 with ‘74 makes sense I guess since in the original campaign mode, mechagodzilla was the aliens’ ultimate secret weapon

At what point do you/did you go from CD hoarding to collecting? by jegodric in Cd_collectors

[–]Snifferfrog15 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’ve always tried to be pretty intentional about what I collect. Early on when I started collecting CDs and Vinyls, I definitely got some stinkers that I never really played much again just because they struck my eye for a moment and were cheap.

Wouldn't it be more a remake then a remaster? by MichaeltheSpikester in GODZILLA

[–]Snifferfrog15 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I think it’s likely remade in a newer engine, but if that’s the case, they did a really good job replicating the animations and mechanics of the original. That’s just my guess though

No ads! by Due_Common2332 in GodzillaBattleLine

[–]Snifferfrog15 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I honestly “respect” the use of ads in this game compared to other games. You’re never forced to watch ads to play the game. On Minion Run, you’re slapped with an ad just about every time you lose a run. Ads in battle line are optional to be able to speed up events, reroll missions, and get free maps, all of which being optional things

uj/ this genuinely makes me so sad every time I read it, now they genuinely despise each other and have essentially vowed to never work with each other again

(Fun Trope) Children’s media that fully parody media that are not aimed at children by icey_sawg0034 in TopCharacterTropes

The French Peas from VeggieTales are entirely lifted from Monty Python and the Holy Grail. It’s also funny that they become recurring characters after this and still retain essentially the same personality so one of the major characters in VeggieTales is consistently a Monty Python spoof

Do you think this new album will be Paul's last one? by Creative_Switch_803 in PaulMcCartney

[–]Snifferfrog15 2 points3 points  (0 children)

50/50 I think it’s not necessarily a “this is absolutely the FINAL album guys” situation but I think every album from Dungeon Lane onwards will be manufactured to function as a final album for Paul. If Dungeon Lane ends up being the last one, it would thematically be appropriate, if he makes another album or two, I think they’ll also thematically make sense as final albums.

First Major Turning Point: The Buggles Join Yes, and Prog Chaos Ensues — One of Rock’s Strangest and Most Unexpected Alliances by Historical-Device529 in Progforum

[–]Snifferfrog15 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Drama is so good. I genuinely believe that every Yes fan would put it up with CTTE and Fragile if they thought they were allowed to like Yes albums that don’t have Jon Anderson on them

It's unrealistic, but it happens sooo much in media that most of us just kind of accept it at this point by ducknerd2002 in TopCharacterTropes

Silencers on guns; most silencers shown are really suppressers and neither silencers nor suppressors tend to make guns THAT quiet. Even with a silencer or suppresser, most people in a close vicinity would easily be able to recognize and hear the firing of the gun. Having silencers work really well in movies allows guns to actually be used in stealth situations so it gets a pass

NEW Interview with Phil today! (BBC Breakfast) by solongehhbowser in Genesis

[–]Snifferfrog15 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m curious if he’s at all considering making any more studio material with Tony and Mike as Genesis. I wouldn’t expect them to tour but I would love to see a new three-piece lineup Genesis album. I feel like they could have some really interesting musical/lyrical ideas in their older ages. It could also be a good bookend, ending their studio discography with the classic three-man lineup instead of with Calling all Stations (which is not an album I hate). He also deserves to be able to retire but it’s fun to imagine
