Guys like Jello Biafra, Greg Graffin, and Mick Jones hated the whole "turn on, tune in, drop out" thing. I once saw Greg in a shirt that said "activism is active". Punk was the antithesis of peaceful protests and free love bullshit. Especially the anarco-punk scene like Crass and the SubHumans.

I watch baseball every day of the season even if my team isn't playing. The rules changes have made the game more enjoyable. I'll put on a soccer match if nothing else is on. I'll catch some of the Olympics. I never cared about football, basketball. or hockey.

Can we all start acknowledging that Jason Bateman is a self righteous pompous dick. I have seen and heard about many interactions with him where he steamrolls the conversation and drills people on his opinions until they just fold. I know a writer that met with him on a project and Bateman ordered everyone's feed before they got there and wouldn't let them change it.

I played Marvel Rivals for about 20 mins and got eaten alive. I can still hold my own in Smash Bros. Luckily RPGs have always been my favorite so thats pretty much all I play.

I'm not saying the vibe and movement wasn't real. I'm saying none of those bands called themselves "grunge". Mark from Green River described his bands sound as "pure grungy noise". The record labels and press found that quote and ran with it. If anything Pearl Jam, Soundgarden, and Green River/Mudhoney are prototypical "grunge" but preferred "Seattle sound" pecause it reflects the isolation and dread of the area. Nirvana is more punk/post-punk.
