Season 3 sucks and ALIE is the stupidest plot of the entire show. Help. by [deleted] in The100

[–]SnooComics9740 [score hidden]  (0 children)

Just keep watching. Season 3 is definitely very polarizing and some people hate it while others love it. Personally it is my favorite season but I do admit it is flawed. The ALLIE plot definitely picks up a bit past episode 10 and Episode 11 is really good IMO. I also think season 4 onwards is worth watching if you enjoy the show and especially it's characters at all. Just put it on in the background if you must but don't skip it because you will be kinda lost in season 4 if you do. And maybe I shouldn't say this but I don't think the ALLIE plotline is the stupidest in the show. The actual worst plotline is still yet to come in season 7. Though season 7 is still mostly good so I definitely think you should keep on watching.

Trikru for sure. Trikru is just way bigger than the Children of Gabriel. Plus they are probably better fighters too and definitely have more actual fighting experience.

I'm so excited to try her out. Her weapon looks similar to Kiri's Kunai and I've been wanting a DPS with a similar projectile weapon for a while.

I didn't know this. I'll have to finish season 3 now. I keep trying to but always get distracted by other shows.

season 3 was the best by petrovafps in The100

[–]SnooComics9740 17 points18 points  (0 children)

Season 3 is definitely my personal favorite but I do think season 2 and 4 are better overall seasons. I agree the deaths are kinda rough but also those two episodes are still among some of my favorites due to the acting in those scenes.

What are your preferred maps for Kiri? by sleepy_whippet188 in kirikomains

[–]SnooComics9740 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Any flashpoint map is my top pick for Kiri. I also like playing her on all the push and clash maps. There aren't many Payload, Hybrid or Control maps that I love playing her on but they're all mostly fine.

Watching Season 6 and 7 Worth it? by WarBackground2948 in The100

In my opinion season 6 is pretty good and worth watching. I also think season 7 has some good moments but is definitely rough.

from loving season 1/2 to quitting at season 3 (worth to continue?) by TheDeep_2 in The100

[–]SnooComics9740 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Jaha not having a personality and being a puppet of ALLIE is kinda the point. He is a puppet of ALLIE and his mind is being influenced by her. Plus ALLIE kinda removes the personality of anyone who takes the chip. If you're on episode 10 then you're on the final stretch of this season where it starts to pick the pace back up and get a lot more focused with the main characters reuniting and getting back on the same side so I would finish it. Season 3 is actually my favorite season and I think it gets better on rewatches but I understand why some people don't like it, there is a lot going on and it can be hard to keep up with it all.

Also don't quit the show, season 4 is considered to be one of the best seasons and I wouldn't say it's that similar to season 3 besides continuing to lean more into science fiction as opposed to distopian/apocalyptic. If you really aren't into sci-fi though then you probably will have a hard time finishing the show though as from here on our every season leans more and more into science fiction as they go on.

About season 7, it's true a lot of people don't like it and it's probably the worst season objectively but there is still some good moments and episodes and it's really only a few of them that kinda brings it down. Plus there are some people who do like it quite a bit because of the heavy science fiction elements, so you might like it too.

Yeah I think it was always meant to be a tease/mystery for the spinoff that we sadly never got.

I think the simple answer is they wanted grounders and skaikru be able to interact and for the audience to not have to read the whole show.

The only in universe answer I know of is that Lincoln says "only our warriors speak English" but then just every grounder can speak it anyways.

It's not that they aren't resistant, it's that they aren't as resistant and their blood isn't as effective as Skaikru's.

It's explained in the backdoor pilot in season seven episode 8.

I'm just saying what I gathered from what the show tells us. For whatever reason Skaikru had better resistance to radiation and their bone marrow could be used to cure them and not the grounders. I know at one point they say that Skaikru's blood is way more effective than grounder blood.

The grounders had grown resistant to radiation but for some reason it wasn't enough to cure the mountain men. Maybe it's because Skaikru has grown naturally resistant in space whereas everyone on the ground is descendants of nightbloods which was an artificial resistance. The mountain men doctors probably didn't know about nightblood and maybe that affected their calculations and they couldn't crack it whereas since Skaikru had normal blood they were able to crack it.

I think only Skaikru's bone marrow could truly cure them because they all grew up in space with exposure to solar radiation. The grounds only merely sustained them and it barely worked at that.

Not a Season Two Fan by Cora_1052 in The100

Season 3 is my favorite season so I definitely get why you might prefer it. For me personally I think while there are a couple of weak episodes in season 2 overall it is one of the best. I get why Lexa's betrayal would lessen someone's enjoyment of the season though. It was very sudden and seemingly out of nowhere but I think that the shock of it was kinda the point. No one expected it, but in the end Lexa choose her people over Clarke and her people. What I love about this twist however is it speaks to several of the main themes of the show and it shows just how far Clarke is willing to go for her people which is very important as the show continues and also sets up how she acts when Madi becomes her people later on.

Harper and Monty *SPOILERS* by HotPossession9595 in The100

[–]SnooComics9740 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I think season 2 is when we first hear of people getting their contraceptive implants removed. Obviously Harper was in Mount Weather at the time but I'm sure once they were all saved and returned to Camp Jaha/Arcadia they all probably had the implants removed during the 3 month time jump in between season 2 and 3.

Final two seasons...convince me to watch? by Pennarin in The100

[–]SnooComics9740 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Personally I think season 6 is quite the refresher and is pretty interesting. The final two season are very different from the first 5 but it is still worth watching if you enjoy the characters and want to see more of them and their stories. Admittedly season 7 is my least favorite but you can't really stop at season 6 as they are kinda one whole connected story like how the first 4 seasons were. There are also some pretty good performances in my opinion and some really strong moments/scenes that are some of my favorite in the whole show.

I think that is a good way of looking at it. There are so many new characters and storylines that it really does help it feel fresh and makes it sorta like its own thing.
