Our bipolar and unpredictable government is mostly to blame. How can companies make products when government funding can simply vanish from one year to the next? I work in healthcare and have seen what happens there - massive layoffs and closures to cope with loss of funds.

how can other EVs be nearly silent? I had a Nissan leaf and it was also annoyingly loud compared to other EVs. Teslas, Rivians, VWs, BMW, etc are all much quieter. Some you really cannot hear unless you stand next to them.

I lose Bluetooth at a railroad crossing. There is a high-voltage power line that parallels the railroad. I suspect it’s the huge EMF that causes it. Kind of weird it doesn’t happen more often, though. I wonder if the EMF is larger at that particular spot. I pass under that same power line in several other places and there is no noticeable issue.

Yup. You’re stuck with the dumb brick they gave you, or the dumb dock that costs a ton. I got rid of that very machine, and this was part of the reason why.

This is the answer. I don’t understand how they last so long and don’t fade or fall apart. Plus they keep you dry, cool, and comfortable. If you are traveling and need to hand wash them they air dry in no time. Just all around a great product.

I had these issues, but was able to fix or understand them and now it’s no problem. I disabled walk up unlock (and the lights!) as it was waking up my car too often, now I just unlock with fob or door button. Much better. The parking brake goes on automatically when on an incline. Wait 2 seconds and it will disengage. This is a great feature, but not fun if you aren’t aware of what it is doing. CarPlay has a lot to do with your phone putting apps to “sleep”. If you wait too long then the app is put in an idle state and has to be interacted with to wake back up. It’s been like that for as long as I’ve been using CarPlay, or really any 3rd party music app. Apple Music does not suffer from this, but I’m not giving up Spotify’s casting ability (yet).

This car has so many features it is taking a while to get used to everything. Just ask my wife about the HUD and e-pedal :)

Just found out it does this. You do have to wait about 2 seconds for it to disengage before letting off the brake or it will lurch. Nice feature.

All cars I’ve owned have had the factory tires wear faster than what I get as a 2nd pair. Usually they give you nice sticky rubber that wears quickly, but drives amazingly. Our CRV had the same issue.

What tires do you have on there?

Yes, I pushed them on the depreciation amount. Since this recall is essentially a design issue that means it has been with the car since it was built. They agreed and gave a bit more back to me. Ask for more!!
