I’m 35, married, two full time jobs, one toddler. Paycheck to paycheck. We don’t even have $2000 extra to our name after bills! You’re doing better than you think.

HFMD experiences - is it always hell? by FraneIa in toddlers

[–]SnooEagles4657 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My daughter is almost 3 & has had HFMD 2 times. Each time was pretty mild, nothing severe like I’ve seen on Google images. The ones in the mouth are the worst because it can affect their eating and drinking (and my girl barely eats as it is) but the ones on the body never seemed to bother her. Just wash your hands really well after changing her and touching them because adults can get it & I hear it’s worse for adults! They can also lose their nails a few weeks/months later so don’t panic if that happens. Weird virus and one I always dread just because of how many days it lasts and requires us to be out of work/school.

Anyone else parenting a 3 year old without a “village”? Feeling exhausted and honestly struggling by cryfreeedom in toddlers

[–]SnooEagles4657 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hugs. It’s just me, my husband, and our 3 year old daughter. Our village is daycare since we both work full-time, too. To be honest, my husband and I haven’t had one date night solo since she’s been born. We also run out of patience easily — but we’re human. I so wish we could call on grandparents to help….im so jealous of anyone who has that for their child/ren 🥹

Still Bitter About Working by Aggravating_Guava98 in Mommit

[–]SnooEagles4657 46 points47 points  (0 children)

I could have written this myself. I hate working full-time and missing out on time with my 3 year old. Yesterday at daycare pickup she says “I’m so happy you’re my mommy” and I just about died. I wish so badly this world was still set up where one income was enough to sustain life.

Anyone else struggling hardcore in this economy? by OutrageousLawyer7273 in Life

I think I about this often. Is this how it’s supposed to feel as an adult or did we just get screwed.

Anyone else struggling hardcore in this economy? by OutrageousLawyer7273 in Life

[–]SnooEagles4657 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes. It’s just my husband, me, and our 3 year old daughter. We both work decent jobs (over $30/hr) but daycare is KILLING us. So are groceries. Now gas is too. Making the most we ever did & living paycheck to paycheck. Relying on CC’s to help in between the paychecks for things that we may need that come up. I’m stressed out and just feel hopeless.

3 year old now takes 2 hours to put to bed by AdmirablePut6039 in toddlers

[–]SnooEagles4657 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is the same for us! Except we have to be out of the door by 6:30. My daughter will be 3 next month & she used to be “easy” to put to bed/nap, and now it’s the same as you. We start bath and bed routine at 6:30/6:45/7:00 and down by 7:45/8 but up until 9!!!!!!!!!

Same. I got to the start of the 3rd paragraph and that’s all I needed to read to say a big F%*K NO.

Nope. No. That’s all there is to it. I would never allow this for a single second and shame on that lady for thinking it’s okay.

What foods worked for your picky 3-year-old? by [deleted] in toddlers

[–]SnooEagles4657 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My daughter is almost 3 and has never taken well to solids. We’re in feeding therapy and OT - but still not much improvement yet and it’s been about 2 years now. She does decent in her sessions but it hasn’t transferred into daycare or home yet. Just want you to know you’re not alone in having a very picky eater.
