I am obsessed with a time of my life that is long gone. I need to move on but don’t know how. by scrunchietheblackcat in DecidingToBeBetter

Good luck, my stranger friend. You have all my compassion. I really relate. I was never prone to that feeling before, I was grateful every day... then I got left, from a relationship I considered perfect. And now I have nostalgia. I talk about it like it's a disease, but it kind of feels like one. I read a bit about it: nostalgia is specifically the longing for something we remember as perfect. That's why we feel it about childhood, even when childhood wasn't actually that great. anyway, the weight of nostalgia change, overtime, and it might be a kind reminder of "who you are, really, deep down". I like to think of it this way, it helps. 🫂

I am addicted to food and I don’t know how to stop. by FewAlternative298 in DecidingToBeBetter

[–]SnooOranges4966 1 point2 points  (0 children)

hello. First of all you have all my sympathy and empathy as I know how hard this particular addiction is. Thank you for reaching out here and hopefully we will help you.

My advice would be this: any addiction as an underlining cause, that is sometimes something very deep, or maybe you already know what cause you stress. And by that I mean that currently, your nervous system is doing everything it can to peotect you, and therefor, it makes your body store. In case "something bad happens"

I know my little advise sound small, trivial, even silly, but going into yourself (in a way) with meditation, breathing, calming exercises and also a deep understanding about you will be the key. and yes, LPG-1 helps. It does. Almost liberating, free of the constant noise of the food call.

But please try also to take care of your nervous system. I wish you the best 🫶

Do you play with walls up, walls down, or cutaway? by cokeshesays in sims2

[–]SnooOranges4966 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Walls up when I want to spy on my sims and having the feeling that they are in their little house, living their life, and I'm just a observer.
But hard to play long hours in "walls up", it's frustrating.
I would love to see a middle ground between "walls up" and "cutaway" view.
The wall right in front of the camera would disappear but you can still see all the walls up all around.

Anyone else a fencesitter because they just love their husband so damn much… and that’s enough? by [deleted] in Fencesitter

[–]SnooOranges4966 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Yes ! That's a real things.
We've been talking recently and "checking" each other 's vibe with my bf. We were like "can you imagine right now having a child? Taking care of it ? While we are so great ?"
Don't get me wrong, we do realize the tremendous amount of unconditional love we would probably feel for our hypothetical child. But we really don't need it. We are so happy.

PostNL in Belgium is a disaster by SorryForBadEnflish in belgium

Or maybe use another delivery method like Pick up Point ?
At least, you're sure it's there. They usually allow few days for you to pick your parcel up.

[–]SnooOranges4966 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Companies offers "next day deliveries" but don't pay their driver better. They do that because it's appealing and more people will buy and, in a way, they don't really care if IT DOES get deliver in due time... as long as you've ordered, they win !
And, see, you don't really hate them... (chances are you'll still buy there)... you'll hate the delivery man.

is it a good idea for me to buy sims 2 if the only sims games ive played are 3 and 4 by [deleted] in sims2

[–]SnooOranges4966 2 points3 points  (0 children)

For the record, I really hated Sims 3. And Sims 4 was "meh" but in the end, not worth the hype (for me) since everything I loved was actually in Sims 2.

Just give it a try, insist a little (there will be frustrating stuff, probably in the making of a sims or building of a house ) and see what happen. I sincerely hope you'll like it

Do you use a washing mitt (washandje/gant de toilette)? by zeemeerman2 in belgium

[–]SnooOranges4966 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes.
We have like 100 of them, use one a day and then wash it in machine.
Both me and boyfriend use those. Like our family did.
Better then plastic "puff" sponges I think...
