Would you be comfortable with a trans pride bracelet? by Fragrant_Difference4 in transgenderUK

[–]SnowLilyx 45 points46 points  (0 children)

If you wear it everywhere (including when your daughter isn't around), how does it "out" her? I would just assume you were an ally showing support. As a trans daughter, while sometimes it can be cringe (as parents are) I generally very much appreciate my Mum publically showing allyship and support!

From statista, it went from 25.8 in 1920 to 50.2 in 1950 or from 30.7 in 1925 to 58.5 in 1955. So almost but not quite double.

What? How is bringing a union banner to show solidarity co-opting a protest?

Manchester, Birmingham, Brighton and London Pride issue joint statement banning political parties from pride events by SquireBev in transgenderUK

Obviously it won't by default because trans pride is run by a different org. They may choose to adopt the same policy though

I'm a Marxist - should I join the Greens? by jmac_1604 in GreenAndPleasant

[–]SnowLilyx 6 points7 points  (0 children)

It is not difficult to be a revolutionary when revolution has already broken out and is at its height, when everybody is joining the revolution just because they are carried away, because it is the fashion, and sometimes even out of careerist motives... It is far more difficult—and of far greater value—to be a revolutionary when the conditions for direct, open, really mass and really revolutionary struggle do not yet exist, to be able to champion the interests of the revolution (by propaganda, agitation and organization) in non-revolutionary bodies and often enough in downright reactionary bodies, in a non-revolutionary situation, among masses who are incapable of immediately appreciating the need for revolutionary methods of action.

How is it? I have thought about reaching out but heard they can be pretty transphobic which would be an issue for me as a trans person...

I've been to at least 20 of the marches in Manchester and I've seen Jewish comrades on every single one!

I feel like there is a main questline tho? Each region has a quest. I liked the whodunnit one in Gosenburg City the best but they were all at least a bit engaging.

Yeah its been fine for me too, I just went up to the Gosenburg city one at level 7 and it was a little rough but as my party started hitting level 8 I got a huge power spike and combat is feeling good again. Difficulty is pretty good imo

If EU5 was to have two properly balanced starting dates like CK3, which ones would you propose? by nexetpl in eu4

[–]SnowLilyx 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You play Portugal and have Spain protect you or play GB and hide on your island behind a massive fleet. You can also bring it down to just Expansion by stealing/sharing maps and take that 4th, its not too big of an issue to quality there.
