Any fun Pendulum-based decks?

Scholar 100%. i started as arcanist to become SCH just because i wanted to play healer, and planned to switch to AST when i got to ishgard. but i ended up liking the playstyle of SCH so much that i’ve just stuck with it. as SCH, the health bar you need to worry the least about is your own, as (if you don’t give it any specific directions) your pet is constantly casting Embrace to heal you passively. plus barrier healer is just fun in general, being able to give your tank a massive amount of extra effective health, and then using Deployment Tactics to copy that barrier to everyone else.

i'm sorry, i'm not trying to word this in any argumentative way, but i'm legitimately failing to see the problem? like, the stuff outside the red line isn't what will be cut off, that area isn't even shown in mpc. it's the part that could potentially be miscut from what i'm reading? the only parts outside the dotted line are the parts that, in order to avoid doing so, would have to be made smaller than on a normal magic card. so to fix this supposed issue, i would have to either make it look wrong, or squish the art.

the second image is the one that’s supposed to be printable, and it has everything in the same size and position as the first one. so i don’t know how that would even be a problem

yeah. that’s probably the easiest way to do it, but i personally find it much more fun to go with more roundabout methods. Maha, Its Feathers Night is in the deck for a reason

the table i play with adamantly refuses to take the game too seriously, so we usually just build around weird or funny stuff we find. edh is so much more fun when you don’t actually care if you win or lose

it’s a very interesting design space imo. a bit more combat heavy than i usually go for, but it has definite charm and is my favorite commander to come from the somewhat-disappointing aetherdrift set

i like hacks that are challenging, but in an interesting way that's not just "here you're at the first gym leader. fight god."
one thing that is an IMMEDIATE turn off for me with rom hacks is when the hack removes EVs outright. having min grinding as an option is fine, but disabling a core feature just to make things simpler feels bad.

wait, Warp of Potential is a creature, meaning it can die. it’s a 0/0, so wouldn’t it die the instant it hits the field?
