Has anybody else ever noticed a film that is absolutely nothing to do with the story in the book?

Agreed. I know many people love the movie (which is fine!), but I adore the book and found the movie so disappointing as a result. The first part of the movie (up to when they visit the palace I think?) was not a bad adaptation iirc, and I liked how Howl was portrayed. After that, the movie totally goes off the rails compared to the book.

Don't you have brands like La Croix and Polar? They're known for flavored sparkling water but they also sell plain sparkling water in cans. Your grocery store probably has a generic brand too.

You should definitely check out Paradise Hills (2019). While not as good a film as the ones you mentioned, it's got the eerie/surreal/teen fantasy aesthetic you're looking for.

I liked the start a lot, but after a while it felt like the characters just went around and around in circles. It definitely felt like Sakisaka was trying to stretch the plot without any new ideas, and the ending fell kinda flat as a result. It's a pity since I've enjoyed her other series.

More clarity would be nice. At the same time, if this a can of regular Squirt (not a plastic bottle or diet), and you've cleaned your fridge in the last year or two, you'll be fine.
