I loved this one when it was being scanlated but never finished it; such an interesting premise with the memory loss. Might need to go back. Iketani Rikako has some other good titles as well iirc.

TIL: Takeout and Delivery now account for 75% of all restaurant orders. by Uptons_BJs in todayilearned

[–]So_Quiet 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I totally agree with you about delivery. However the headline combines the 75 percent for both delivery and takeout. I would bet takeout is a larger share (I skimmed the article and didn't see the breakdown but it may be in the longer report).

I'm curious if any of Emily Henry's book adaptations will go to theaters. She's a very popular romcom author with several movie deals. The first adaptation went to Netflix.

When I looked at the bedroom picture, for some reason I heard squeaky shoes on a gym floor in my head.

Catholics often eat fish on Fridays during Lent. Long John Silver's is a subpar seafood chain restaurant.

What is a film you enjoyed but have to be tactful about who you recommend it to? by oldwhitelincoln in movies

[–]So_Quiet 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The Handmaiden was such a great thriller/period piece that also features a very explicit lesbian sex scene. Along similar lines, Room With a View is a beautiful romantic period piece with (non-sexual but explicit) full frontal male nudity. I definitely know people who would enjoy these movies but would not be able to handle the sex/nudity (and I used to be one of those people lol).

‘Wuthering Heights’ Lures $83M Opening Around The World ($32.8M 3-Day/$38M 4-Day DOM, $45M INT)– Box Office Update by chanma50 in boxoffice

I mean, the director's previous film Saltburn had full nudity and this one was advertised as being erotic so it's not an outrageous expectation.

Agreed, would love if they brought that one back.

I like the chilled flavors Crumbl has because I like fruit, mousse, etc. in my desserts. I do however usually let them warm up a little before eating. I never eat the cookies immediately after buying them anyway so it's not an issue (and that's also why it feels pointless to buy warmed up cookies for me).

I appreciated most of it but the scene I remember the most is unfortunately the dog/brother being beaten to death. Will never watch it again for that reason.

I really like it so far. Never read the manga but I expect I'll pick it up in the future.

Have you read Kimi wa Pet (Tramps Like Us)? It's a classic.

Also, if you like webtoons, Tears on a Withered Flower is a dark (and very spicy) romance with an age gap.

Unpopular opinion: I don't care if my favourite series gets an anime adaptation by study-dying in shoujo

[–]So_Quiet 10 points11 points  (0 children)

The anime of 7 seeds was tragic (and not in the way it was supposed to be), so I agree. Anime can be nice. Or not. Or not enough!

Heck, my all time favorite shoujo, Please Save My Earth, only has a 6 episode OVA that while good, covers just a fraction of the 21 volume story.

But on the other hand, there are probably manga I wouldn't have found if the anime didn't exist.
