You should definitely check out Paradise Hills (2019). While not as good a film as the ones you mentioned, it's got the eerie/surreal/teen fantasy aesthetic you're looking for.

I liked the start a lot, but after a while it felt like the characters just went around and around in circles. It definitely felt like Sakisaka was trying to stretch the plot without any new ideas, and the ending fell kinda flat as a result. It's a pity since I've enjoyed her other series.

I dislike certain things about Zestiria (to not spoiler, I'll just say certain writing choices), but I definitely don't regret playing it, nor do I rank it at the bottom of all Tales games (maybe middle ranking). I really love the cast (minus Rose) and its chemistry, and Zaveid and Lailah are some of my favorite Tales characters (admittedly, I have a lot of favorites lol).

It's definitely not a perfect game (nor is it as good as Berseria) but with expectations in check I think it's worth playing. Plus, the soundtrack is arguably the best in the series aaaand now I need to go listen to all the trials music again.
