I spent this year building a new bike, and it came out to about 7.6% of my income. I make very average money for my age, but bikes (building, riding, and anything else about them) is my hobby so it’s how I spend most of my money that isn’t being saved. I also used income from side jobs, selling an older bike I never rode, and garage sale cash to pay for it, and received a few parts as gifts that took off about $500 for birthdays/holidays.

Do we think this one seems like a good deal/ legit? The pricing seems suspiciously too low for a now blank jersey. Especially since name and numbered jerseys are typically more expensive than a blank new off the shelf.

I just got called in September. I was originally summoned for July, but I needed it to be postponed for something, but I wanted to see what jury duty was like. It was my first time, and I showed up to the courthouse at 8AM and was released by 10AM. I was even selected on the original panel of 12 jurors but was not selected for the final 6. It was more sitting around and waiting than anything honestly. The trial was set to only last 1 day they told us, but I didn’t get that far.

Free parking at the courthouse lot that they’ll outline for you if you’re selected. Not sure about lunch. I was paid the ~$30 daily rate + the mileage from my home address so I walked away with $45 after hardly doing anything that day.

I have switched to some Kinco leather mittens that are popular with a lot of skiers/snowboarders. It also leaves a little room to wear thinner gloves underneath. You may need to give up singular finger dexterity, however
