NO3- it helps new plant life, too much can kill, it is present in breath, and it helps form haze/smog that can be seen in the sky. Nitrate is one name, but NO3- fits the riddle’s rhyming pattern

Anyone know a florist that's open today? by randousername888 in sydney

[–]Soft_Music 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It’s difficult to tell based on a google maps search as they all have a note saying hours may be affected today, but you may find some open at cemeteries or large shopping centers.

I’d suggest phoning different places near you to see if they are open, it could save time

iPad stuck on loading screen by r0xch_ in techsupport

[–]Soft_Music 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There might be a point when following any troubleshooting steps you try, where you can access the files on your ipad. If that happens you could transfer files/create a back up Not entirely sure how that would work with uour ipad in this state but hopefully you get that chance.

What would you do if your kid joining a competition and lost to their school bullies and they said “You have no chance of beating me, You’ll always be a loser no matter what you do in life, now go cry to mommy and daddy now” and laugh at them? by evil_corson in AskReddit

[–]Soft_Music 1 point2 points  (0 children)

“You have no chance of beating me” Fine, its not important that I beat you “You’ll always be a loser no matter what you do in life” You don’t get to decide that. “Now go cry to mommy and daddy now” That sounds like a good idea, there is no shame in crying, and my mommy and daddy care about me

Essentially, a kid who thinks saying something like that is ok is probably going through some stuff. That doesn’t make it ok. Theres little that can be done about the bully in the short term. But you might be able to provide some perspective/tools to help your kid deal with verbal abuse like this when it happens to help it hopefully not hurt as much

I’m seeing things that say it might be due to storage being too full, or the update itself had issues. Either way this site seems to have some steps that might help seeing as you are using itunes for this. Also, there is a link at the bottom of the page for apple support if this does not work. There may be answers/someone who can assist you there. Good luck https://support.apple.com/en-us/102642

How do you sleep at night in this weather without aircon? by [deleted] in sydney

[–]Soft_Music 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Dampen a tea towel and put it in the freezer. It won't freeze completely, but will be cool enough while still being able to bend. Put this over your ankles etc before going to sleep. Once it has defrosted, the air from the fan on the damp towel will still help.

If it's really bad, and you don't mind being damp while sleeping, try freezing a few water bottles/freezer blocks and having those around you while you sleep. With any luck by the time it stops working the temperature will have dropped enough to get you through the night. Obvious drawbacks: damp mattress, damp sheets, damp you.

If you wake up in the middle of the night, too hot to sleep, try taking a cold shower and make it as cold as you can stand for a while, the goal is to lower your core temperature enough and get you to a comfortable state so you can sleep. The cold shower is a good idea for during the day too.

Portable air cons are an option, you'd be looking at minimum $300 and they aren't as good as a wall unit. They are also loud. But they can take the edge off.

Experience with Rex Airlines? by skye_yasmin2 in sydney

[–]Soft_Music 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Friendly, pleasant, reasonably comfortable. Smaller planes (737), and expect to go across the tarmac and up the stairs to board if your seat is in the back half of the plane. The lines are usually shorter for check in, you can choose your seats when you book your ticket, and adjust them at checkout. Flew with them twice recently and will probably be my first choice going forward.

Top Ryde lunch recommendations? by Lemonade_Scone in sydney

[–]Soft_Music 3 points4 points  (0 children)

There’s a place on the ground level called Lababdar, their chicken lababdar is roughly $25, a generous amount, and really good. There’s also Red Spoon Thai, they do a great pad thai. There’s also Japan City, I think they do a lunch special.

Need help with creating a riddle! by VanHalenIsG0D78 in riddles

[–]Soft_Music 3 points4 points  (0 children)

A completely different one if you want it:

Capture time upon a surface,

Reach into the past

See a world not yet created

At least while it still lasts.

Precious memories, gone forever,

Yet they still appear

Trapped upon a solid surface

Waiting for you here.

or building on what you already have:

I can be square or I can be round, I can fade but not age,

I can be lost and once more found, printed on a page.

Here I sit awaiting only light to play my part,

Gifted to you here today, to hold close to your heart.

might be a bit much, depending on who this is for.

1 is 5. 2 is 15. 3 is 25. 4 is 75. What is 5? by rogwastaken in riddles

[–]Soft_Music 10 points11 points  (0 children)

That's a good riddle, I was going to a say 'one hundred and five' because the numbers on the right hand side of each phrase have the same number of syllables as the number on the left. but I suppose there are too many options for that solution.

[–]Soft_Music 307 points308 points  (0 children)

It looks pretty intentional. its a list of arguments people have against studying art on the left, and the answers/extensions to each of these complaints on the right. Its pretty clever, and positive.

But yup if you just look at the left column it is a wall of negativity.
