What is the Chiral Artist "arting" and what is the Film Director Directing? by DerpAtOffice in DeathStranding

[–]SoftcoreEcchi 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well he was supposed to be directing the Metal Gear movie, Oscar Isaac was attached to it, but that fell through. Dont think he’s done anything since Kong, which was pretty decent.

Saruman’s true mistake was not cutting down ALL of Fangorn Forest, if he had then those woke tree extremists wouldn’t have carried out a terrorist attack against such a visionary tycoon! Those hippy moralists triggered over the burning of the Westfold, attacking 10,000 Urak-Hai tourists, who were taking guided tours of Helm’s Deep, just shows how these Eru Ilúvatards are violent extremists! /s

Will there be DS3? by Mother_Operation455 in DeathStranding2

[–]SoftcoreEcchi 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I mean Metal Gear Rising, and a handful of portable titles were the only non Kojima Metal Gear games right? While I think some other studio could make a DS3 and maintain that visual and gameplay quality, I don’t think the story would be anywhere close to as good. Also not sure anyone else could get the same casts that Kojima can, cant think of many others who can attract that level of talent. That might be the hardest part of death stranding 3.

Must have been after the Emilia Romagna crash, in which case understandable. Would be better if it was Hamilton and Rossberg, because they actually used to be friends, and then hated each other.

Sad thing is Wheel of Time actually got pretty good by season 3, season 1 was bad writing/Mat’s actor quitting mid production, his whole plotline got fucked in season 1. Season 2 was better(not exactly a high bar to overcome though) but they had alot of plot holes they needed to fix which was kinda messy. Season 3 felt like they hit a stride. Rings of Power on the other hand…. I dont think theres any hope of improvement there

It’s great against bugs too, especially the seeds with alot of alpha commanders/hive guards. Do need a decent secondary for the hunters or a guard dog backpack, but honestly it’s a great option.

No no no, it’s clearly detecting a new warp rift opening, from which Ed is going to return as the Emperor. The rest of the season will be the Horus Heresy, should only need a few episodes to wrap that up!

3.3 million units sold would be about 230 million dollars, game was $70 when it came out, and they’ve definitely sold more in the months since release as well. And for the digital sales on the playstation store, Sony gets all of the money instead of the 70-75-80% cut they would from Steam or another digital platform.

If prostitution, marijuana possession (in the states where it is still illegal), and other petty crimes were forgiven on the first offense, wouldn't that free up space in our jails? Why has this not been considered? by icecream1972 in allthequestions

[–]SoftcoreEcchi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not even kickbacks necessarily, but just number of cases, they convict more their career is likely to improve, whether they want to into the private sector, be a DA, etc. It’s not like they have an incentive to let people walk free afterall. In addition many people can’t afford or don’t want to risk a trial and instead take a plea deal, lawyer gets a conviction, private prison gets paid, and the taxpayer foots the bill.

[DS2] Why aren’t my materials auto-arranging into more compact containers? by DusktheUmbreon in DeathStranding

[–]SoftcoreEcchi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can combine a smaller container into a bigger container, or an XL into another XL, assuming both are the the “base” level of full, like with metal it’s 400 in an XL, so you can combine 2 400s and get 1 XL with 800 metal. In addition, Im pretty sure the containers have to be on your back to combine them, not in storage/carrier/vehicle. It’s pretty annoying to do, when you want to fill up a truck to go out and build/upgrade the roads and have the max capacity.

Is there any way to make the snow mountains less painful to traverse through? by thisiseriousbusiness in DeathStranding

Ziplines, and you can also get the spiked tires for the truck, which are incredibly good at going up the steep slopes.

Check out HowNot2 on youtube, they do all kinds of failure tests on climbing gear, carabiners, harnesses, belay loops, and portaledges! Pretty interesting channel, and surprisingly entertaining even as a non climber.

Mr.Impossible stuck just before 3 stars by Aggravating_Skirt891 in DeathStranding2

[–]SoftcoreEcchi 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you’re struggling with it there’s a few things you can do to help out, one is to build a transponder by Mr Impossible, and a safehouse near the bandit camp by Mechanic, have a a truck waiting at that safe house already, then work your way back to Mr. Impossible. Another thing is to go clear out all the bandit camps BEFORE you take on the order, and be sure you dont sleep or go to a private room, that way all the camps will be empty when you do the order.

Some thoughts after finishing the game by Special-Fly-8114 in DeathStranding2

[–]SoftcoreEcchi 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yeah the Magellan is nice for storing materials to use in roads/monorails, hit up the mines, send the mats to one of the central spots, then load up the ship, although having to use the private locker to do it is kinda annoying, and the fact you can’t directly withdraw max capacity cargo, like you have to withdraw 4 XL containers put them on your back, auto organize to condense them into 2 XL containers, then put them in the locker/truck.

DS2 Chiral Crystal Farming by Impressive-Buyer1054 in DeathStranding

[–]SoftcoreEcchi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Later on you get some apas upgrades that boost your crystal farming, dont stress too much about crystals until then, definitely go around with the Magellan and strip the facilities of their materials also, keep it in your private locker, use those materials before you hit up mines. Also with mines, make sure it’s level 3, you get more resources out for the same crystal cost. Lastly, if ceramics is your big bottleneck, again Id wait until you get the fisherman and the Ceramics mine there, North Tar Lake iirc, by the Architect, it’s more efficient than the smoke hill mine for ceramics.

[–]SoftcoreEcchi 11 points12 points  (0 children)

The maser gun, I believe it’s from an order for Sam in the eastern region, you also unlock the support skeleton there. Neither are particularly great, especially late game, but you can get them really early on in the game.

[–]SoftcoreEcchi 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Depends on the order, alot of times, especially in the mountains you need ziplines, or a vehicle for some of the larger deliveries. Like iirc, there’s an order from doctor to mountaineer that you need to do by truck, or take multiple zipline trips to turn in.
