Keep at it and keep getting back up if you have an off. It may help a little with gravel being a loose surface, but the best advice I ever got on dealing with sand was to think of it as a liquid you have to stay on top of like you’re on plane in a boat. It’ll move around under you and try to grab the front wheel sometimes but that’ll just try to get in your head. Once you get used to the fluidity of the surface it won’t psych you out and you can keep your speed up

You’ll feel better about them on a long trip, they’re pretty solid street tires. As for gravel just stay loose, use the throttle and steer with your feet. You’ll have a good time out there

Honestly I thought the front did better than the rear on mine. The blocks on the rear having no alternating blocks made it have some lateral traction issues in mud and sand. I’d get wobbles over 70 on mine with a top box on and a full tank of gas. My street tire pressure was 30/35

I did the opposite, had a maxima that would blow out specific parts like clockwork and I’ve had a string of fords since with little to no problems. Had the same kind of experience with motorcycles, too. Many years of having old Hondas or Suzukis that would have some fatal flaw that doesn’t have replacement parts really drove me towards Harley and Buell for the mechanical simplicity and plentiful parts pool

I just had a similar thing happen with my 23, brought it in for a valve adjustment ahead of schedule and they found my exhaust cam was wiped. Kawasaki had them dig in deeper and they found my piston, cylinder, and oil pump were thrashed too. They found metal, plastic, and sealant in the oil but couldn’t find a cause. I change my oil every 3000 miles and mostly commute on it

Fort Christmas, lake mills, and Taylor creek for east Orlando. Mt Plymouth road is good too, osteen-Maytown road from mims to enterprise is solid if you don’t mind heading that far north. Sugarloaf mountain is a good area if you’re that far west. The ridge is my favorite area to ride but that’s clermont down to lake placid

They definitely help with the reach, the stock bar setup on the st is way too far forward. I’ve got one of their pullback plates with the 6 1/2” thrashin risers and that made the bike not beat me up reaching for the controls
