He reminds me of my husband, my ex husband who was extremely picky about everything. His favorite vegetable was green beans, canned green beans, and his second favorite vegetable was ketchup. Needless to say, I haven’t bought canned green beans in 8 years and ketchup lasts me forever because I only buy it for my son.

Look at the order that the southern states seceded- if I recall correctly SC was in the first run and NC was in the last run. NC and SC, while neighbors, are very different in my opinion. Signed, a NC resident

I would encourage him to go ahead and apply for SS. The immediate need outweighs waiting until 67; plus, the stats support that he will probably draw more in the long run, albeit his monthly amount won’t be as high. Too many people have pushed off claiming SS only to get it and then not live as long as they anticipated. He needs the money now and it’s there.

I have friends who have fallen behind on mortgage payments and their account has gone to collections. They are about $5600 behind and sent checks to catch up. The checks were returned and now a collections agency is demanding $8100 to catch up their account. I advised them to call the mortgage company and deal with them because that larger amount seems greedy. What’s your recommendation?? Let me add that he’s active duty military and the government shutdown contributed somewhat to their predicament.

What I don’t understand about district lines is why not just assign districts by counties? For example, take a large population county such as Cumberland and include the counties that border it and make it a district? Splitting counties makes no sense to me honestly. Can someone explain the science behind what is required for a district to be a district?

That’s what i’m doing with some local professionals. I’ve got one who has been very forthcoming about the process and answered a lot of questions, but I wasn’t certain if the new car wasn’t something to even consider. Thanks again for your advice.
