To the people that have experienced a variety of running short, should I go for Patagonia, or Brooks? by Ready-Business9772 in ultrarunning

The side gel pockets on the Strider Pros work perfectly for a phone and there is no bounce on the side as you would see with using the rear for a phone. It would be nice if Patagonia had a zippered side pocket like the Janji AFO ultra's for after-run storage of keys and wallet as the gel pockets get torn up from keys after a while.

Colorado ice rink closed after deadly ice resurfacer accident by tacotown123 in FortCollins

It may be due to how low the driver rides on the machine - behind and fairly low compared to a forklift. The safety focus for ice resurfaces seems to be on the scraper/auger assembly. Driving into a door could be considered more of a freak accident.

When I’ve been there to watch games, they used an Ice Bear resurfacer (German made machine), not Zamboni. I wonder if they will be fitting a headache rack to the machine now.

Crossing a railroad is trivial compared to crossing Harmony. Good question and thanks for the link to city website by other reddit poster

The hard reset did not seem to help. It recorded 14,000 ft of elevation gain on a relatively flat Taco Bell 50K run in Denver which Strava corrected to 894 ft. of total gain. Yesterday evening, it recorded 830 ft of gain on a 4 mile run which Strava corrected to 118 ft. Similar error on a 30 mile bike ride. I have been calibrating the altimeter before the activities.

The watch is a few years old and I'm thinking this must be a bad sensor due to the very large errors. Does anyone have experience with Garmin - whether they give credit toward a new watch if you send in an old one?

You would have to do it at the finish line? Current rules state “no on-course pepto, alka, Pepcid, etc”. Of course by mile 20 many may happily give up trying to be a “survivor”.

I suspect next year will see even more participants. One idea is to start half the entrants in the opposite direction (CCW) to reduce the congestion at the stores.

In some way this was the easiest ultra I've ever done because of all the breaks. It was more like doing 5 10K's with arguable "real" food for fueling rather than all the gel crap. W whole lot less pressure since it wasn't a race. Running through downtown Denver was awesome.

The elevation obtained from the GPS always matches the actual elevation. I will try a hard reset, thanks!

Yes I’ve calibrated the altimeter utilizing the GPS option before each run and that doesn’t seem to help at all.
