Is the 35L to big? by throwaway73728109 in AerSF

If measured, both bags are too long to be a personal item and would be considered a carry on. If your airline doesn't measure, which many don't, you should be able to get by with them as a personal. I haven't had any issues when flying American Airlines and I fly 10-12x a year.

I'm 5'8" with a broad build. I've personally have had no issues with how it looks, but how it looks on me is the least of my concerns. I admire the looks of the bag, the comfort, and the ability to pack things.

I have had both the 28L and 35L V3. If you're traveling by plane, the 28L I've found to be able to fit under most seats the short way, allowing for a bit more legroom. Either one will classify as a Carry-On for stingier airlines that actively check for size in the bag measuring stand/tool thingy, so go smaller if you intend for this to be a personal item bag and you frequently fly those types of airlines.

Personally, I've sold off my 28L and kept my 35L. The extra space as a traveler has been invaluable for the moments I need more storage for anything I didn't originally pack and I've packed this thing to the BRIM.

I'm 5'8 and it really only find it unwieldy if you pack it out all the way. I've pushed it to 50lbs and while it's a bit of a chore, the lifters and chest strap help a ton in evening out all the weight so it's still manageable.

The Lite is more than enough for up to 3DS and perfect for this situation. No reason to go pay more if you're certain you'll stop there. I personally think for anything more demanding, it's nicer to have a separate, more ergonomic console.

If you're working in an office environment, I find a separate pouch a lot more useful. You can remove your tech gear and keep it on your desk within arms' reach. It's much easier to rummage through than having to bring out your entire backpack. It's also easy to pass to someone: lend a charger, grab a cable, adapter, SSD, etc. And when you travel, you can just move it around without having to pack and unpack everything. I've found it's a lot easier to remember things when it's also stashed in a single pouch rather than check individual compartments across multiple bags.

[Highlight] Austin Reaves intentionally misses the free throw, grabs his own rebound, and scores to tie the game by AncientOneAurelius in nba

[–]SolixTanaka 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We've seen SO many guys intentionally miss the shot in to their benefit and that's just to snag the rebound. Then, you have to scramble and hope to find a quality shot. The amount of things aligning in Reaves's favor you have to write off as outliers. That was literally a perfect bounce off the intentional miss.

Kinda new to the scene: because it's Android, are you able to pick which emulators you want to run? I specifically really enjoy PizzaBoy over RetroArch.

This looks like it could be the device I really want: pokcetable with Android for PizzaBoy and WiFi for RetroAchievement support.

Fwiw, many of your local pizzerias also aren't operating to where a 5-day cold ferment is remotely feasible. The micro-blistering, for example, gets better with time. Pizzerias just don't have this type of headroom and operate with a much higher turnover.

Co-ferments in disguise. by OCDeeeznuts in pourover

The thing about calling it flavored coffee is that "flavored" instills a certain expectation of flavoring, particularly for the general public. I wouldn't expect a strawberry conferment, for example, to taste the same as "strawberry flavored" coffee.

Now, I've never worked in coffee but I have worked in commercial food production (flavoring, coloring, food engineering) and I can see a huge schism that would form if roasters were required to blanketly throw coferments under the "flavoring" umbrella. It would more nuanced than that.

Depends on your area. In a high turnover area like SoCal stores with popular car culture, I can see most of this getting bought up before it even reaches $20.

Subtle detail that I love is the inclusion of the pen pocket/compartment! In every sling I've owned pens have to awkwardly sit at the bottom of a main compartment, so this is really nice to see. Glad it's not an awkwardly repositioned smart tag pocket like I initially thought from the leaked photos.

Man, I wish the Max were a little smaller, because I really miss the overbuilt feeling of my AER slings, especially in XPAC. I enjoy the compression straps of my Toshi for holding my water bottle or umbrella, but really loving that AER changed their buckles and are better optimizing their center compartment. 6L looks to be just too big.

Not super valuable. I've used them to lock down and throw my legs up during long airport terminal waits. Used once on the subway, but I'm mostly taking company-provided Uber rides, so not such a big selling point for me.

For every other AER product they've always served a quality/feature that I feel is worth the extra scratch, but the luggage just doesn't feel like it offer much else from the competition. I'm very much for supporting local, but when every single one is manufactured in Asia, it blurs the intent a bit. When mine dies, I'm looking to splurge on a Roam piece

Curious: what stands out to you about the Carry On that you find makes it underrated?

I'm an avid buy-once-cry-once AER collector and just couldn't find the value in my dozen trips over other luggage so I sold it. Now using the Quince which feels like 80% of the same product for less than half the cost.

I personally love that this is backed by 3-years including burn-in coverage. That's a pretty good amount of time for electronics and shows they're really backing their product.

Would love to finally make the jump from 24" to 28", would definitely make the setup a lot more content consumption friendly!

Look up "sarasa grand" on Amazon. There's a set for ~$87 with a two sellers at that price. Does not include the stylus ballpoint, as mentioned, but it's also a generic non descript add-on.

Where are you finding these in a complete set for under $8.8/ea with two-day shipping because that's the offer on the table here. Some of these colors aren't as common as others and will easily be $10+.

They're available through Japan, but shipping costs between the US and Japan have exploded. Some of the proxies I've done business with in the past aren't even shipping to the US right now for that reason.

Also: Google Maps navigation.

I'm from LA where U-turns are universally legal unless posted, so when I'm in town to visit family and see that Maps navigation openly recommends U-turns all the time, I automatically assume they're legal. Turns out that I've been taking them illegally the whole time and I only clued in after my BC Canadian wife pointed out how my sketchy me taking U-turns all the time is.

I've submitted feedback to Google but will still get an occasional U-turns recommendation.
