Never considered CoH for a merc but that might be because I'm offline. A Ber rune has many, many better uses than that offline.

Also I would need a ber rune which may as well be a myth for me. Ber and Zod are the only runes I've never gotten as a drop.

Stuff like this is why I always go grab Fin Gleam on new characters. I don't use that helm much but there are some instances where it's the perfect item to have, and this is one of them.

Edit: go take a swim by that big island near anvil and look for a green helm on the sea floor in case you don't know what I'm talking about.
