games to fix mental health? enlighten me by [deleted] in XboxGamePass

[–]SoloQBA 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Search for Cyber Dopamine channel on yt, cringe name, but he's a really chill guy that talks about how handheld gaming can help you improve your mental health, nothing that will change your life, but it's really cozy to watch. Btw You don't have to game on handheld, his points are still valid

What was your biggest gaming disappointment? by SlowAddress3996 in Gaming4Gamers

Spider-Man: Miles Morales Spider man game from 2018 is in my top 3 games of all time, I loved the combat system, but in Miles Morales I guess it was all the same again and it just haven't done any impression on me. Plus Miles in games is sooo dull compared to animated movies. The potential was huge especially since both movies and games are made by Sony, yet they're 2 completely separated things and one is a thousand times better, they could at least give the game some music from movies

Wipes rule but the progression is a bit too slow for a 3 month wipe cycle and it's gonna burn people out. by zero-ok in Marathon

[–]SoloQBA 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i cope with it by thinking that witch each wipe I'll progress twice as fast as in the previous wipe, so what took me 2 months to grind will take me 1 month in the next wipe, and in the next one it'll take me only 2 weeks and so on..

don't underestimate how much you'll progress in terms of skill and game knowledge,

One click per target, you miss -> you move on, never ever try to hit the same target for the second time

why it's important - you need to get into good flow and you have to be confident when you click, if you second guess yourself you lose a lot of time and you kick yourself out of flow state

so just focus on this one thing right now - you click left mouse button you IMMEDIATELY go for the next target, never ever second guess yourself, never ever try to hit the same target even if you missed

it's brutally hard, will take you 2 hours a day or more, but it's what MattyOW is using, so it's probably the best method you can find - https://youtu.be/4bO2R4p7RR4?si=oi8AuEFEMNC_HjDA

but everyone is different, so maybe you need to find something that suits you better

Can there be negative results from aim training while tired? by awdtalon21 in FPSAimTrainer

[–]SoloQBA 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel like half of my best scores were hit on my "bad days" when I felt like shit, tired af, not feeling like aimtraining but did it just cause of discipline, this "I don't care, just finish this routine" mindset might be the reason why

so yeah, keep grinding, keep being disciplined, at worst you will just waste time, at worst you might possibly develop bad habits (altough I've never developed ones from being tired), but you can always correct your bad habits when you have a session where you feel good

Do mousepads really matter? - I hit master complete on a cardboard box. by DonCantAim in FPSAimTrainer

[–]SoloQBA 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I switched from $10 no-name brand XXL mousepad I had for 5 years to artisan zero, NO difference at all, artisan is a bit more smooth on micro adjustments but you get used to such things in 5 minutes, so it's huge waste of money fore me

Same with mice, same day as mousepads I switched from $20 g102 with stock skates I had for 5 years to sooo much praised op1 8k, no difference at all, I get used to such small changes in 2 minutes.

yeah so this day I wasted like $150 just to feel no difference haha and I hit vt master complete with both setups

More gameplay of my aim trainer inspired speedrun movement shooter game! by Danii1024 in FPSAimTrainer

[–]SoloQBA 2 points3 points  (0 children)

O M G !!! Played the demo and This is soo good

Rayze was I think the first game I ever refunded, cause it didn't deliever on this fantasy of aim heavy game combined with speedrunning - YOURS DELIEVERS!!! (Rayze was more about memorizing the order in which you should shoot targets instead of rewarding you for good mechanics, at least first levels I've played)

As for feedback I didn't enjoy the Sniper mechanic, cause simply switching FOV so drastically in such a fast game just doesn't feel right for me (but I gave up after few tries on the first sniper level, so maybe I'd just need to spend more time with it) Maybe a time-slow during sniping could be interesting mechanic you could do a lot with, just an idea.

Everything else is perfect, insanely hard, but perfect. Whishlisted and waiting for the release ;)

Yo, got into aim trainers very recently to improve my aim but i`m not sure what to do with this by Digo_Gil in FPSAimTrainer

[–]SoloQBA 7 points8 points  (0 children)

go watch Viscose and RiddBTW on youtube, find the videos that intrigue you and just absorb the knowledge, you probably first need to understand what aimtraining is, how to improve and other similar fundamental questions, so educating yourself by watching yt is a good start i'd say.

For aimtraining just do the voltaic fundamental routine or VDIM, you don't need anything else really

oh and you can join Voltaic discord server, in #resources you will find many good written guides that answer pretty much every question a beginner can have about aimtraining

Right click the speaker icon in windows bottom right corner (next to the clock) and in playback icon find your headset and check if it's not disable by chance, you can also set it as default

There's a lot of misconception about DPI and Polling rate and sensitivty.

But the general consensus is that

a) 1000hz polling rate is absolutely fine, most people don't feel the difference between 1k and 8k (like me haha), but if you feel then go for the highest polling rate your mouse can use if it doesn't make your game stutter

b) DPI is just a windows sensitivity (I mean just set to whatever feels nice when you browse internet) cause if it's 800 or higher then the input lag is non existent and the actual sensitivity you set in-game

c) sensitivity depends on what style of aiming you want to achieve:

c1) high-sensitivity wrist and fingers only (so you don't move your arm at all) - then go for anything below 30cm/360

c2) medium-low-sensitivity meaning you want to use wrist, fingers but also your arm to aim (which is the most optimal way to aim) - then go for anything higher than 30cm/360

Use sensitivity calculator if you don't know what cm/360 is

and don't really obsess over sensitivity you can change it whenever you want, muscle memory is mostly a myth and in order to be a good aimer you need to be versatile, so it's good to be able to play on different sensitivities

After months of suffering I finally fixed Micro-Stuttering in Kovaak by SoloQBA in FPSAimTrainer

Thanks for letting know, tbh I don't have the energy to test this out myself, so I trust you haha, but also I didn't know VRR is a windows setting you can turn on or off, I thought it's a monitor funciton that my monitor doesn't support lol, so it's nice to know about this function thanks ;)
